I should've drafted beirut. Although, I would of course then have to come back like Jordan wearin the 'fo-five.
I've never though of beirut as a bar game myself.
I've played plenty, but never at a bar before.
In college there was a bar I used to frequent on Wednesday nights that had beirut tournaments.
Winning 2-person (or 1-person, but that's very ill-advised to attempt) team got 75% or so of the $5 per team entry fee. Pitchers were $2.25 til midnight of beast.
I won once or twice, no big whoop.

Beirut + Pliny = alcohol abuse
Agree. I would've drafted Milwaukee's Best can called it a day.
I don't know if it would work in a bar. You need a decent amount of elbow room, plus sympathetic/attentive by-standers to help chase down the ball--before it gets crushed underfoot--when it inevitably gets away from the players.
Ah no, we played with quarters. Games are faster, easier to play while hammered, and I'm really, really good.
