This could be a team that could give the Sixers some trouble with the zone.
Please not this again.
I still don't think you've countered with a good argument against it. To me, this is definitely a team that could struggle against a 2-3 zone with the right personnel.
Where were you for like my 3 pages of good arguments?
Consistently disagreeing with the points you were making.
To be honest, I only brought it up to see if I could breathe some life into this match up. I got the Sixers and haven't thought twice.
Just like I was disagreeing with your points (and I don't think I was the only one). The only one I could get behind is that it might throw the offense out of rhythm (it also might just get Douglas, Hinrich, and Barbosa hot from deep) for maybe a couple minutes before the offense adjusts. The problem with this argument is I can go into all 8 threads and tell both teams that a zone could do the exact same thing to them.
I don't see why all my counter-points were invalid, especially the one about how I'm one of the few teams in the league that have the combination of dribble penetration, shooting, and most importantly passing, to break down a zone.
Let's be serious, I've got the best passing and probably the best slashing wings in the league to go with a sharpshooting PG, a PF with an exceptional back-to-the-basket game, and the league's leading 3pt FG% shooter to plug in at C and space the court. The zone is not a concern.
