This could be a team that could give the Sixers some trouble with the zone.
Please not this again.

I still don't think you've countered with a good argument against it. To me, this is definitely a team that could struggle against a 2-3 zone with the right personnel.
Where were you for like my 3 pages of good arguments?

Consistently disagreeing with the points you were making.

To be honest, I only brought it up to see if I could breathe some life into this match up. I got the Sixers and haven't thought twice.
Just like I was disagreeing with your points (and I don't think I was the only one).  The only one I could get behind is that it might throw the offense out of rhythm (it also might just get Douglas, Hinrich, and Barbosa hot from deep) for maybe a couple minutes before the offense adjusts.   The problem with this argument is I can go into all 8 threads and tell both teams that a zone could do the exact same thing to them.

I don't see why all my counter-points were invalid, especially the one about how I'm one of the few teams in the league that have the combination of dribble penetration, shooting, and most importantly passing, to break down a zone.

Let's be serious, I've got the best passing and probably the best slashing wings in the league to go with a sharpshooting PG, a PF with an exceptional back-to-the-basket game, and the league's leading 3pt FG% shooter to plug in at C and space the court.  The zone is not a concern.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

This was a close one, but I ended up voting for the Indiana Pacers.

Boston's Front court is going to be steamrolled by Gay, Randolph, and Gasol. Their lack of a solid be bench at those positions doesn't help either.

You only need to go 3 bigs deep in the playoffs and Darrel Arthur played very well backing up both Gasol and ZBo this summer. Couple that with Aaron Gray's solid performance against the Lakers and I'd say we have a solid core group of bigs.

Ya but your starters lack any real defense. Even Monroe has the least to handle of the three FC spots coming from the Pacers
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I really hate Jodie Meeks starting for the Knicks.

He is a third string SG who only got the nod in Phily because they were so desperate for some jump-shooting. Not a good player.

Who, would your mind be changed if we stared Nick Young (and played him 30 mpg) with Meeks playing 18 off the bench?

Because that's esssentially our plan -- after teh first 6 mins of the game.

I think we're a bit higher on Meeks than you seem to be --- he's a solid role playing SG (who shot 40% from 3, 60% TS%) who doesn't take anything off the table while he's on the floor.

I think Philly wins in six. Cp3 won two games with less talent against a better Team in reality. Also don't like iggy and wade as much in the half court. Both need the ball. Iggy actually needs it more in the half court then wade. He really excels in the open court, but I don't know about him in the half court without the ball. Hinrich complements each of them but he can't distribute to these guys like say rajon rondo could.

Wade and Paul will cancel each other out but Philly has more fire power overall and wins in a competitive six games series.

Not watching players is not an excuse for saying things that blatantly aren't true.

Also when has Stan Van Gundy been known to rely on the zone?

Nick Young only put up points cause he played on a bad team. I think Rip could still play ball. I also got CJ miles who was a double digit scorer himself. I think everyone who is voting for new york is putting way to much emphasis on starters. My bench i think could clearly out play their bench. Also one other thought if I play a zone like dallas did against utah wouldnt that negate D Williams?

I'll be honest, I'm pretty heated I didn't get any TP's for that Doink reference.

One of the toughest matchups of the playoffs and one I will probably have to discuss with Rondo in depth to see which way we vote. Since we have until tomorrow, New York, New Jersey, tell me what makes your team the winner here.

And if your answer is Charlie Villanueva and Drew Gooden, you lose.

My answer to you is short and simple the players I drafted fit better than the players on the Knicks. I got Kevin Durant who took his team to the western confernce Finals this year the farthest deron williams has gotten with a pretty good UTAH team is the semi finals. Is Tim Duncan a good person to be running pick and roll with which is what deron likes to do?

Deron Williams reached the WCF in 2006-2007 as a second year player. He also has extensive experience working in an offense not built around the P&R (the flex that Utah ran for years)

In 2007 Utah lost to the spurs in the WCF

From basketball prospectus:

Al Horford, Atlanta: Horford was a rarity this season--an All-Star selected primarily on the strength of his defense. Not that Horford can't score, mind you, but his development into a defensive anchor has been even more rapid. His numbers are uniformly solid. Horford is quick enough to defend on the perimeter and physical enough to defend in the paint.

And that was him playing out of position.

And Piston's fans glow about Monroe's defense:
