Has Al Horford ever defended Zach Randolph for the majority of his time in a game?

And I will say this, when Greg Monroe started and defended Marc Gasol for 30 minutes in a game..in less time he scored more, rebounded more, and shot 70%+.

But, he also fouled out. Hows that gonna work?

If Chris Paul is being particularly difficult, you might see Wade switch onto him, or more minutes from Toney Douglas.

Otherwise same rotation as regular season.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

It's gonna work because Monroe's fouls per game will go down as all rookies do in their second year. Also, he won't have the corpse of Ben Wallace to cover for on the weakside, instead Al Horford's staunch 1 on 1 defense will limit the helping Monroe will have to do.

I'm not sure, but he's more up to the challenge with a front court mate like Monroe instead of Josh Smith.

Another interesting fact: Since Z-Bo has been in Memphis, he hasn't beaten Al Horford, and Horford has outscored him in 2 of the last 3 times they both met and played more that 20 mins a piece.

That could either illustrate how porous ZBOs defense is or how Porous Marc Gasol's is.

Magic might have the better PG, but the 76ers are much better at every other position.  Orlando doesn't have the defense to make it into the second round.  Beasley seems to be playing 28 minutes a night at PF, and David West will embarrass him for 28 of those minutes.  Maggette will have to take one of Wade or Iguodala, neither of which he could guard in his dreams.

Jason Richardson was disappointing in Orlando, Maggette was beyond disappointing in Milwaukee, and CP3 had a sub-par year after his injury last season.

Basically Chris Paul will probably go off and win a game by himself, but that's their only chance of winning one.

Can Chris Paul, Jason Richardson, or Corey Maggette turn either top guy on your team into jumpshooters?
No chance.  Maggette doesn't have nearly enough speed to guard Iguodala.  Richardson is a decent defender, but not good enough to slow down Wade, and Wade can post up Paul with ease.  And don't forget I've got the league's leading 3pt FG% shooter to put in at C and give Wade/Iggy extra space (not worried about Birdman taking advantage of Bonner).  Plus there's still no answer for West.

Also, Orlando doesn't has a good enough team defense to lock down the paint.  Let's at least wait until we see a somewhat good defense before we start questioning Wade and Iguodala's ability to penetrate the lane.

I think that's fair.

How does Hedo Turkoglu fit into all this? I understand that's he's a facilitator on offense, but what about on defense?

Hedo's defensive shortcomings have always been easy to mask on stout defensive teams. With partners like Holiday/Gordon/Horford/Monroe in the starting line up, it won't be hard to cover for Hedo.

Or both!

I don't think either is a good matchup for a big man of Horford's skill and quickness.
