Daunting task IP. It would require, IMHO, keeping per game stats on every player in the league, also seeing whether those stats were happening on winning teams or not, then judging how those stats and how those players meld. Then put together a power ranking and have everyone complain because they feel their team isn't being given a fair shake.

Yeah, okay, I'm up for it.

I was diddling around with it myself, and really, you only *have* to keep track of each teams' top 7 or 8 players, but the other factors you mentioned should for sure matter.
Thing is people will claim in a condensed season that the end of benches will become more important and that if injuries occur or if certain players get hot then their rotation could change.

I mean at this point look at the Kings. Boris Diaw is averaging almost a triple double. Maybe that means he starts instead of Millsap who is getting his stats while coming off the bench anyway.

Gonna have to keep track of everyone.

I can set up a spreadsheet. We could split the conferences and each keep the per game stats for half the league and e-mail them to each other and anyone else will to participate every Monday morning. Then publish the Power Rankings every Tuesday after the vote.

PM me your email, I had another approach I think will be a little more manageable (and less likely to get twisted up in bureaucratic bogdowns)

For those that criticized the drafting of Boris Diaw as the sixth man for the Kings here is his early season start:

12 PPG, 11 RPG, 8 APG, 1 bpg, 45% FG%, 40% 3PT%

Also, props to Rondo for putting together a great bench with Brandon Jennings also there:

23 PPG, 5 APG, 3 RPG, 43% FG% 37% 3PT%

And our rookie, Chris Singleton, really looks to be a great defensive backup for LeBron. In limited minutes:

4.7 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 1.7 SPG, 50% FG% tough defense.

If only the Kings had a superstar that could have shown up in the late playoffs.

Another reason to hate LeBron...he even chokes in the CB Draft playoffs.

For those who doubted Kyle Lowry coming into this season, he's only the best point guard in basketball right now.

Also, that James harden fella is currently a top 5 SG.

There's these guys in LA, Chicago and Boston that may disagree with your assessment of Lowry as the best PG in the league, though he might currently have the best fantasy numbers.

Know who's having an outstanding year at PG. Ty Lawson

23 PPG, 3 APG, 3 RPG, 4 SPG 62% FG% 43% 3PT%

WOW :o :o :o :o :o :o

Lowry's currently playing as the best PG in the NBA.

I don't think it's sustainable (before to tonight he was leading in assists per game, to go with 18 pts and a handful of steals), but unless the past 3 games are the rise before the fall, I think the whole 'last season was an abnormality' theory doesn't hold much water...at least currently.

And delfino's injury doesn't seem like a big deal with the way henderson, harden, and sessions, and jerevko are playing. Blazers 4 real, son!

I'll throw the Kings top 7 versus anyone's in the league right now:

Bron: 33 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 7 apg, 1.5 bpg, 3.6 spg
Billups: 16/2.5/2.5/.5/.5
Millsap: 15/10/1/1/1.6
Chandler: 7.3/5.7/1.7/2.7/1
Matthews: 15.3/5.3/1.3/.7/.7
Diaw: 11.7/11/8/1.5/.5
Jennings: 22.7/2.3/5.3/.3/0

You done your homework on the Blazers?

Right now my only weakspot is the young gun, and that won't last.

Am I suppose to be yelling about Ryan Anderson at this point to all the people who didn't think he was a useful big man?
