I think my team would have lots of potential and should have one my 1st round matchup.

Nets- Durant,Scola, Perkins Conly Jr, Rip Hamilton, Joel Anthony, Charlie Villanueva, Cj Miles, Kyrie Irving, Drew Gooden, Jordan Farmer, Vuvuecic.

Well Kyrie Irving is certainly a surprise. Would you play him next to Conley Jr?

Been wanting to brag about Splitter at IP's expense for a while now.  And while I'm at it I TOLD YOU SO about Bogut  :'( :'( :'(

Barbosa is shooting 3s like he's back in Phoenix, but Toney Douglas needs to leave NY IMMEDIATELY.  His game is definitely not made for that system.

Oh yeah, and Varejao is clutch, unfortunately.  2 buckets and 3 rebounds in the final 3 minutes, including an offensive rebound AND a steal/loose ball dive on the last possession to take the lead.  Absolute definition of "who wants it more," one of the only guys that can win a game with no skill and pure hustle.

Lol...you had no idea he'd break his ankle, come on!

But, you def won the Splitter trade. I haven't seen enough of Robin Lopez to feel one way or another about him now, so you're looking at a likely starting lineup of:

Lowry/Sessions
Harden/Morrow
Delfino/Henderson
Williams/Jerebko
Stoudemire/Tolliver

Certainly not a world-beater. Still a playoff team, but Bogut is a huge hit.
Lowry, Delfino, Tolliver, Sessions... sub 40% FG shooters unite!  And watch out it's rubbing off on Amare!

For the record, Josh Childress is giving me pretty much what I expected, 2ppg and stuck on the bench.  Meanwhile, Gerald Henderson has 15, 5, 2, and 1 on 46% shooting.  Can't call it a sure win yet.

Anyway, back to players that matter, didn't I hear somewhere that Derrick Williams could shoot 3s and that Lowry was a better or comparable 3pt shooter to Chauncey?

Well A) Don't you try knocking Kyle Lowry. He's playing beyond expectations so far, and that's including a shooting slump.

B) Amar'e's #'s with Melo off the floor and his numbers with Melo on teh floor are night and day. Check them out, its unreal. Melo's not on my team.

C) How's that bigs rotation looking right now for the ol Sixers?? Splitter is playing pretty decently  (you're welcome :) ), but West started out the season like warmed over dog-doo, and hasn't really improved drastically on that, Martin isn't even in the NBA, and Miller hasn't even logged 10 total minutes yet this season. Couple that with Wade missing serious time, I'm thinking the Sixers are sitting right about .500 or lower about meow.

A) Your expectations?  I thought you were telling us to expect the end of last year's Kyle Lowry from now on.  Maybe he's just a normal  :o player that has ups and downs?

B) Mine neither, so I think that makes Toney Douglas better  ;).

C) Lookin sexy, thanks for asking.

West - 12ppg 7rpg 2.5apg, 1spg, 1bpg, 44%- production has been down to start the year but he's the veteran leader on a good team.  Adjusting to less touches, whereas he'd be averaging 20ppg on my team with Wade out.

Varejao's been great 10ppg 11rpg 2apg, 1spg, 1bpg, 48%

Splitter's also been great 9ppg 6rpg 1apg 1bpg 62%

Bonner had a really tough start but now he's up to 6, 3, and 1 in 19min while shooting 44% and 40% from 3

Kmart was averaging 14, 10, and 2, 52% in China, but left a while ago so he should be well rested.

Miller just played his first game I think, should give average rebounding and defense, at worst he gives us a second 3pt shooter.

2/5 of my starting lineup hasn't really played, but get all the hating in you can.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

This is where everybody throws their arm out patting themselves on the back, am I right?

Honestly the pragmatist in me says that Rubio will be very ordinary. Like a bigger, more slow-footed early Jason Williams.

I just wonder if he'll be a serviceable starting point guard.

Any concerns about starting a kid with absolutely zero minutes at the NBA level at the PG position?

Also, it's all well and good to argue Rubio's stats at age 19 in the Spanish League.  However, how can you then neglect to mention his stats at age 20 in the same league? I expect better from you, Wiggle. You're one of the better arguers in the game; "Rubio will be successful because Jennings was" doesn't pass the smell test.

Why start Rubio over Aaron Brooks? Why not ease Rubio into the NBA considering this team's expectations?

3. Cleveland - with a better PG situation this team is much better but IMO the PG spot and backcourt as a whole is just not good.

11.1 points 4.6 rebounds 8.8 assists 2.3 steals and that's in 34 minutes a game as the second best player on a 10-11 Timberwolves team. And as a starter his number are even better...

THAT'S WHY NONE OF YOU HAS A "THE" IN FRONT OF YOUR NAMES. Remember it next year because I'm sick of this.

Rubio's model for success is the defensive point guard who generates possessions by collecting rebounds and steals at a high rate and creates opportunities for teammates through upper-echelon ball-handling and passing.

Scoring and scoring efficiency are difficult to predict across leagues, while rebounding and assist stats tend to by fairly predictive of NBA production. Rubio has had a lot of success passing, rebounding - and stealing - the basketball.

lol...I didn't play in the CB Draft last yr, but mark me down as another person who didn't think that Rubio would make it in the NBA.

Boy was I wrong....

The scary thing is that he will get better.

If he is somehow available in the Pick Two starting soon, I will certainly be on the lookout for him.

Calderon/ George Hill/ Nate Robinson
Joe Johnson/ Brandon Rush
Dorrell Wright/ Luc Richard Mbah a Moute
Chris Bosh/ Ed Davis
Nene/ Marreese Speights

While no one is going above and beyond what was predicted of them (maybe Bosh is playing better than expected) the team is healthy and everyone is playing.  Though Dorrell Wright is not where he was last year.

Yeah, we were all wrong about rubio. Even more wrong than you guys were about Kyle Lowry, if that's even possible.

Biyombo/K. Leonard combo looking good for the LA conspiracy TOF debate.

Biyombo 14th in the league in blocked shots despite playing just under 13 minutes per game. cray.

on a down note, looks like i may have miscalculated what stephen jackson was going to bring to the young conspiracy.

"Stephen Jackson has been suspended one game for verbally abusing officials and failure to leave the court in a timely manner after a meltdown on Friday night"

now that's a true leader

Um, we know Vince Carter and Jason Terry can't guard him?

But it turns out he really can shoot 3s, that'll make him dangerous.  He's looking like a bigger, more athletic Raja Bell to me.  I think in a couple years he could be a 16-17ppg scorer, especially if he improves his mid-range.

The Pawnee Pacers would like to congratulate Marc Gasol, and Tony Parker for being named to the All Star Game. At the same time would like to express condolences to Rudy gay and his family for his snubbery.

Finally, we would like to recognize Paul George and Kemba Walker for making the Rising Stars Challenge.

Make us proud, boys!

Wade+Iggy > Gasol+Parker

With a healthy Z-Bo, I think we take down the defending champ.
