Shhhh, no one tell him that Lopez had 21 points.

Happy to report to everyone who said Varejao and West wouldn't be ready to start the season that they proved you wrong with double doubles.  Also, there's no longer a need to worry about KMart getting hurt seeing as he's got a nice lengthy rest ahead of him.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I saw R Lopez's stat line and assumed it was a typo.

I was more surprised to find out it wasn't his career high  :o

Ahem....

Kyle Lowry: 20pts, 12asts, 6 boards...only 41% shooting but not a bad start.

Wilson Chandler's first game was better.

Kinda dumb given how long the season is so far but

Kinda dumb huh? 17 points 5 boards 64% shooting, is that dumb? Cuz that's what Jonas Jerebko did yesterday.

I dunno, that doesnt look like a team with the firepower to compete.

So I'm thinking about doing a 'Power Rankings' feature. Who cares/wants to read it/wants to help out with the rankings (if we had 3-5 users who were willing to rank the teams as the year went along, I'd appreciate it)?

Nobody wants to talk about this stuff?

Cuz for seriously...if the C's keep on playing like they are, I'd almost prefer the lockout.

Daunting task IP. It would require, IMHO, keeping per game stats on every player in the league, also seeing whether those stats were happening on winning teams or not, then judging how those stats and how those players meld. Then put together a power ranking and have everyone complain because they feel their team isn't being given a fair shake.

Yeah, okay, I'm up for it.

I was diddling around with it myself, and really, you only *have* to keep track of each teams' top 7 or 8 players, but the other factors you mentioned should for sure matter.

You and your diddling, IP.

Sounds like a fun idea, if you're up for it.  I know i'd enjoy the read.
