That's what got me thinking. I was thinking: How good is this team without LeBron? There will be a giant gaping hole at the SF position, but how bad would they really be? What would that even look like?

Looks like Joe Johnson, Nene, Lamarcus Aldridge, Dwight Howard, LeBron James, Chauncey Billups, Josh Smith, Kenyon Martin and Dwyane Wade are all missing the playoffs for the first time in a while.

It isn't a very interesting or influential argument in a full redraft league. Did you leave Kobe and Rondo out of the playoffs? Manu? Or Pau? How did you even put your list together? And anyway wasn't one of the motivating factors in caping the league at twenty-four teams to reduce the impact of superstars?Followed by everyone voting in favor of superstars?

Oh it doesn't bother me I was just wondering what the logic behind the decision to put what are considered some of the consensus best teams towards the end of your rankings.

If it is no more than I hate LeBron and Wade and whoever else, I can respect that. Heck, I'm going to have to take a shower after every post I write defending LeBron next week because it makes me feel dirty to do it.

But I respect your basketball knowledge and your eye for putting talent together and I was just wondering what it was about the 76ers and Kings that made you rank them so low.

I'm sure it wasn't just to be contrary to the consensus.

Well I don't think that's fair (and the 24 team thing had nothing to do with it either. It was about GM participation.)

The implication there is that Nick's team, and the praise that has followed it is a product of draft position. But, I think nick and rondo have together assembled a heck of a team, and that's not easy to do with the modified snake.

I don't think Philly would be in as bad of a shape as the other teams you listed.  Iguodala lead a much worse defense to 41 wins, and West is better than Brand.  Barbosa can replace some of the offense lost with Wade out.

I had Manu first in the West, Pau isn't a superstar/was playing out of position, and Kobe/Rondo didn't have enough of a supporting cast to contradict the horrible fit between them.

Basically my point was those guys lead crap to the playoffs every year, so for some of them to miss the playoffs is very uncharacteristic.  And some of them have better supporting casts in this league then they've ever seen.

I don't think Philly would be in as bad of a shape as the other teams you listed.  Iguodala lead a much worse defense to 41 wins, and West is better than Brand.  Barbosa can replace some of the offense lost with Wade out.

Maybe not but you definitely go from top contender to struggling to make the playoffs.

Then again, TWW's ranking had the Sixers 9th in the East so according to his ranking without Wade, your team would probably bottom out in the East. Not in my opinion but maybe in Wiggle's.
