East - West playoffs reminiscent of this years playoffs? Every first round in the west is must-read stuff.

East was tougher last year

Rondo, Nick, me...best 3 teams in the league.

ILLY 4 EVA!

The gold waistband to my left thinks elsewise.

BOOM. TURK'D

The West playoffs were so brutal that the league's best team missed the Finals.

Haha, pretty much.

But:

Rashard Lewis, Richard Jefferson, Francisco Garcia, Courtney Lee, Jeff Teague, Drew Gooden, Erick Dampier, Jared Jeffries, Johan Petro, Devan Brown

Yeah, the 6 fewer teams made a huge difference in terms of depth this year.

And actually, looking at that again, I still wouldn't vote for a team that had a Boozer/Zbo frontline.

WHERE'S THE DEFENSE!!!

?

I don't see a single one of those guys that's going to keep John Salmons in check

As I'm sure my good friends from Pawnee will be explaining, Zach Randolph's defense is pretty underrated.  (.85 points per possession overall, .79 on post-ups, etc.)  They probably won't agree that Boozer's is, but Boozer is actually a pretty average defensive center, too.  Boozer's defense as a power forward kind of sucks, but the Bulls' defense was actually better with Boozer playing center than it was with Noah.  Very surprising, obviously, but indicative of Boozer's fairly solid ability to muscle opposing bigs.

Edgar will be pleased to hear it.  Tony Allen got the nickname "Trick Or Treat", but John Salmons deserved it.  I don't think I've ever seen such an up and down player.

It's funny how perceptions change.  Edgar had Jamison and Salmons, and people derided his team.  Yet, somehow, you rode those two, Baron Davis, and a couple of rookies to a title because people loved Dwight Howard (who is now at the helm of a last place team).

Celtic fan hate for Bargs could sink a Russell lead team.

Well, to be clear. I think people are voting D12's team last because Gaberk is MIA
