So Portland has the best deep bench threat in the league in  Jonas Jerebko. Very impressive.

Sactown will just have to settle for having the best team.:)

to be honest the deeepest team is mine
its like 13 starters
but well
time will tell

they keep saying they dont like my team and still I yet to know why 3 starters in each position and all proven NBA players cannot do the job

Because I hadn't change my sig yet. If you'll notice in my reply a few pages back, (where I posted a detailed list of my team and videos to introduce my rookies), I have him and Tristan at "Forward", but they can both play the SG spot as well as SF.

Here's the link to my post:

Start Rubio.

However, build a strong defense of playing Garnett @ Center.  That's going to be your biggest battle, IMO.

Thanks Don, I appreciate it. Would you rather see #s, a zone pitch or more take downs like the one below?

Griffin/Garnett versus Millsap/Chandler

Griffin has two inches on Millsap and in thee games rang him up to the tune of 27 points per on 61% shooting, 14 rebounds, and nearly 4 assists. Meanwhile Chandler has just an inch on Garnett. And who's going to have trouble defending who, given Garnett's ability both to step out and put the ball on the floor? Chandler's range ends at the charge circle and he's a liability at the free throw line if KG does get tired.

Between the two Garnett gives up far fewer points in the paint (40th vs 101st) and guarding the roll man (1st vs 52nd). It's a wash scoring at the rim. KG is the better defensive rebounder. Chandler the far more dangerous offensive rebounder. And, KG misses fewer games - over his career and even over the past four seasons.

well done WW.

New Army Ants lineup

Starters

PG - Rajon Rondo
SG - Marcus Thornton
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tyrus Thomas
C  - DeMarcus Cousins

Reserves

Mario Chalmers/Terrence Williams
DeShawn Stevenson/Terrence Williams/Kelenna Azubuike
James Johnson/Terrence Williams
Andray Blatche/Antonio McDyess
Andris Biedrins/Andray Blatche

I actually think your reserves could beat your starters.

Too many headcases in your lineup, and no guys who can create their own shots.

Your reserves have more size, are better defensively collectively and also are better shooters

I agree on the headcases.  I disagree, though, that the reserves are better than the starters.

Rondo > Chalmers, by a wide, wide margin
Thornton > Stevenson, again by a wide margin
Jefferson > Johnson by a solid margin
Thomas = Blatche.  Blatche is more talented offensively, Thomas defensively
Cousins > Biedrins, by a wide margin

In terms of shooting, if Thornton and Jefferson repeat last year's performances I don't think spacing will be a huge issue.

PG: Chris Paul - Clearly the best PG in the league right now.
SG: James Harden - Can carry some of the offensive load, can slash and shoot. Very athletic.
SF: Wilson Chandler - Good, well rounded player.
PF: Zach Randolph - Has a huge arsenal of offensive moves.
C: Marc Gasol - Can hold his ground against other players in the post. Good defense and offensive presence. Really stepped up his game during the playoffs.

Bench:
Shane Battier - the defensive player off the bench
JJ Barea - Spark Plug
Derek Fisher - smart, veteran, clutch player
Andray Blatche / Samuel Dalembet - bigman off the bench
Nick Young - Bench scorer

= Very expensive team.

Definitely an interesting team.  How'd you come up with your players, though?  The other teams posted in this thread were all drafted by their GMs in this thread.

Denver Nuggets Rotation

PG: Jose Calderon (28) George Hill (15) Nate Robinson (5)
SG: Joe Johnson (28) Brandon Rush (15) George Hill (5)
SF: Dorell Wright (28) Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (14) Joe Johnson (6)
PF: Chris Bosh (24) Ed Davis (24)
C: Nene (30) Chris Bosh (10) Przybilla (8.)

This is what I'm thinking for regular season.
Not sure who would be better at center between Davis and Bosh if they play at the same time, I'm thinking Bosh even though both have played some time at C.

It would get tighter if I were to get into the playoffs.

May have Dorell Wright play some SG while JJ sits with Mbah a Moute at the 3 with him, since he can guard whoever is the tougher matchup.

Id definately flip MBah and Wrights mins.  Mbah is a superior defender, which you'll need as most teams have a star 2-3 man.

His offensive inefficiency will be masked by a really good offensive team such as yours.

Ahh I see. Thanks for the heads up, I'm not a frequent user so I didn't really know. Thanks for the positive comment though.

Agree with your assessments, Roy.  Individually the 1st team is better and more talented.  But, i still wonder about where and how the shots come from for the starters.

Cousins has the post ability, but is still a couple of years away from being reliable.  I dont think he demands double teams quite yet. Thornton is a good spot up shooter and slasher, with RJeff a capable shooter, but are those open looks going to come with Rondo's indecisivness when driving, and teams defending the 3 point line?

I like the size of the 2nd unit to somewhat neutralize the greater talent and transitional play in the 1st team.

Bahku,

I think you are the likely front runner for the "Team of the Future" I was just wondering though.. where is the ball movement going to come from for the starters? Harris was largely criticized on here for not fitting with Lebron and now he is paired with Melo. I see similar issues there. Both are score first players. Also your rebounding... One thing I loved about Kevin Love was that he made sense next to Lopez for rebounding. Now I see you struggling on the glass against some of the better rebounding teams in this league.

Thoughts?
