Drop Anthony Tolliver from the rotation.
Agreed, similar to when a player "averages" 6 minutes per game or something he's often not in the 9 man rotation and is only getting minutes due to individual match ups, foul trouble, and injury.

Tolliver is a depth player and a nice situational three point threat if you need him. He shouldn't be a rotation guy, he's your 5th big.

Updated Utah Jazz

CB Draft - Jazz:   (4)Pau Gasol, (3)Pierce, (5)Haywood (1)Baron, (2) Dahntay Jones, (B) Jamal Crawford, (B) Big Al, (B) Caron, (B) Reggie Williams, (B) Maxiell, (B) Duhon, (B) Hollins, (B) Kopono

What kind of minute breakdown and pairings do you see with your backcourt.

Something like below... But I might toy with it some more and it can likely change a little bit in the playoffs. Also depending on the matchup Reggie Williams could get a lot of Jones minutes. If I am playing OKC I likely go with Jones, but if I am playing Portland I might go with Williams.

(PG) Baron 30 minutes, Crawford 12 minutes, Duhon 6 minutes
(SG) Crawford 17 minutes, Dahntay Jones or Reggie Williams 17  minutes, Butler 14 minutes
(SF)Pierce 33 minutes, Butler 15 minutes

I'd give Reggie Williams Caron's #'s at the 3, and Caron Reggie WIlliams' #'s at the 2.

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
I'm not going to be around much today, but I was hoping to get some thoughts on what the best fit for these guys is:

PG Stephen Curry/ Andre Miller/ Steve Blake
SG Sam Young/ Rodrigue Beaubois/ Corey Brewer
SF Nicolas Batum/ Thaddeus Young/ Corey Brewer
PF Dirk Nowitzki/ Thad Young/ David Lee/ Derrick Favors
C Marcus Camby/ David Lee/ Derrick Favors/ Nikola Pekovic

Also, I've got a lot of frontcourt guys that I'm looking to move for a legit SG who can defend.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

You do know the reason wdleehi dropped McDyess was because McDyess is likely retiring, right?

Reggie likely will be the odd man out when I am playing teams like OKC or Denver. And I need Caron at the 3 because Jamal will play the 2 a lot.

Ricky Rubio/ Aaron Brooks/ Eric Bledsoe
J.J. Redick/ Thabo Sefolosha/ Jordan Crawford
Danilo Gallinari/ Josh Howard
Blake Griffin/ Ekpe Udoh/ Trevor Booker
Kevin Garnett/ Timofey Mozgov

Show of hands...

PG Ricky Rubio/ Aaron Brooks
SG J.J. Redick/ Thabo Sefolosha

or

PG Aaron Brooks/ Ricky Rubio
SG Thabo Sefolosha/ J.J. Redick

or do I just need to make a stronger case for Garnett at center?

Thanks in advance

I do not advocate starting Aaron Brooks.

See my analysis of your team, offense is not a problem. Not even a tiny one.

I'd like to see Rubio start.

A.Brooks' minutes can always increase on a game-to-game basis if Rubio is struggling ... or role reversal if he is really struggling (which I doubt).

Well, if I promoted Brooks into the starting five I'd also promote Sefolosha, at that point I'd need his size more than Redick's shooting.

Ok, starting Rubio has always been my own inclination, and now I have the approval of two of our most insightful GMs. Thank you again gentleman. TPs.

Though I'd still love to hear the take of one of my colleagues who believe Rubio will bust and ranked me last in the Southwest.

I'll either return the favor of any thoughtful critique or just promise not to immediately pick apart your front court as a knee jerk reaction. Your choice.
