I don't know if Raja Bell is a rotation-worthy player anymore, let alone a starter.

I raised the same point earlier.

Agreed.  He has slipped significantly on both ends.  I don't think he can keep up, even in a Keith Bogans role.  I don't like Nick Young all that much as a backup, either.

Otherwise, Utah is a very strong team.  I like how they've remade themselves lately with some good trades.  It's been an interesting journey for the Jazz -- they made some great decisions, then some poor ones, and then some very good ones again, in my opinion.

Should young start? I toted with that idea before bc he's like a Kevin Martin type player but just not as good yet. He really played well after arenas was traded.

I think bell can play the bowen role here on a contender. Bowen was 38 when he retired and bell is 34. Everyone thought Marion was done after Miami and Toronto, both lottery teams, and then he goes to a contender and plays his role exceptionally well. I think bell can spread the floor and play team D for 18-20 minutes. Crawford will get around 30 minutes of play backing up both guard spots and butler will see time at the 2 as well.

San Antonio Spurs:

PG: Russell Westbrook/Luke Ridnour
SG: Arron Affalo/Vince Cater/Keith Bogans
SF: Grant Hill/Al-Farouq Aminu /Kyle Singler
PF: Carlos Boozer/Amir Johnson/Dante Cunningham
C: Chris Kaman/Larry Sanders/Kurt Thomas

We would like some feedback. Strengths? Weaknesses?

Personally we feel we have an excellent PG combo, good talent at the wings, solid starters at the 4/5 and some good young players in reserve there.

Solid starting five, great guards. Good mix of offense and defense from your bench guards too.

SF is an area of concern with a 2nd year player and a rookie. The bigs are also unproven/erratic. How many minutes can Thomas play a night?

Looks like a good squad.

If I'm you, I'm working hard to get myself another shooting guard because I hate the idea of Nick Young starting for you. Young & Bell or another "lesser" caliber player in favor of a young-Raja-Bell type

How about the NJ Nets I think finished product...]

Coach Scott brooks

Pg:Conoly Jr/IRving/ Farmar
Sg:Rip Hamilton/Rudy F
SF:Durant/Cj Miles
PF:Scola/Charlie V/Drew Gooden
C:Perkins/Anthony/Nikola Vucevic

thoughts about this squad?

Good balance and complements in the starting five.

The bench: not crazy about the frontcourt help. CV and Gooden provide little defense. Anthony is solid. Vucevic is a rookie, and likely will have some adjustments to the NBA pace.

I like Miles and Rudy for you. Not sure if you need both Irving and Farmar. Maybe look to make one more deal for another physical PF?

I actually agree with u on everything. I acutally like having both irving andf farmar provides me with a little insurance if Irving stuggles a little. Would even consider playing farmar at the 2 guard and go small ball.

Yeah, that's the angle I would pursue, too.  Utah's starting SG should be somebody not currently on their team.

Kane, I PM'd you what I thought would be a pretty logical trade for you. Though I might value that particular player a little more than others.

Also, I'll do two 'Pros and Cons' before Midnight tonight. First two teams to PM me a trade offer for Marshon Brooks.

Any thoughts of screwing around with Kemba at the 2?  Limited minutes.  Some sort of smallball lineup, perhaps?

I'm sure you're tired of questions about health concerns, but Francisco Garcia always seems to be injured. How do you feel about Brooks getting meaninful minutes

If Garcia goes down, I'm guessing Delfino gets more minutes at backup 2, and Williams gets more minutes at SF.

Hmmmm, like TP - Kemba - George - Gay - Frye/Gasol?

That is a lot of offensive firepower

Something I considered for sure, but with the way the team is constructed now I don't see him getting any kind of minutes at the 2 outside of last second shots and blowout minutes.

EDIT: Though I guess it'd be a way to get Teague more playing time.
