OKC Thunder!
PG. Derek Fisher/Mo Williams
SG. Kobe Bryant/Shannon Brown
SF. Trevor Ariza/James Posey/Quentin Richarson
PF. Kevin Love/Rashard Lewis/Troy Murphy
C.  Samuel Dalembert/Jermaine O'neal/Memhet Okur
Coach: Rambis

I like your squad better now personally, because Love is a good passer out of the high post, and his offense better complements Kobe's.

But Don't Start Derek Fisher.

yeah i would most like start Mo Will and i am going to use rashard lewis as 6th man since he plays sf/pf..i still think dalembert and JO will be better defenders since they can focus on shot blocking since k-love is a monster on the boards.
Pick 2 Heat:
Pg: Jennings/Vasquez
Sg: Wade/R. Allen/Rivers
SF: Lebron/M. Williams
PF: Bosh/Humphries
C: B. Lopez/Dalembert/Anthony

I think they'll be worse because they'll have more pressure placed on them due to Love's poor defense.

I don't think the need to rebound hurts a big man's defensive focus. A committment to team play is what's needed.

This was my team last year:

PG:  Fisher
SG:  Kobe
SF:  Pietrus
PF:  Ty Thomas
C:   Marc Gasol

My bench players were:  Jonny Flynn, Bellinelli, Korver, Maxiell, and Krstic.

I think your team looks extremely similar to mine from last season, while slightly better, still only slightly.  That team above was in a 30 team league as opposed to 24 teams now and right after the Lakers won the title, not got embarrassed in the second round.  And my team was heavily criticized for drawing comparisons to "a weaker version of the Lakers".

My team got into the playoffs somewhere between a 5 and 8 seed I think and was bounced in the first round of the playoffs.  That's why I'm having a lot of trouble being on board with this team.  You have a better 3-5 than me (by not much), I had a better 1-2 than you (decline with age, but by not much), and you have a better bench.  The league is way stronger this year.

Finals Starters:  Jason Kidd - Reggie Miller - PJ Tucker - Al Horford - Shaq
Bench:  Rajon Rondo - Trae Young - Marcus Smart - Jaylen Brown -  Peja Stojakovic - Jamal Mashburn - Carlos Boozer - Tristan Thompson - Mehmet Okur

You've built a team around Kobe Bryant, but I don't see how talent-wise they're even close to approaching the real life Lakers.

But celticpride, regardless of my opinion I just stated, if you like your team, then go with it, have fun, and do your thing defending it.  That's the fun of the game.  I liked that team that I mentioned I had last year (meaning I thought it would be a good team).  So I had no gripes about losing and I had a good time.

If you want to please voters and win this thing, then you should be warned that this is celticsblog.  Posters and voters absolutely hate on Kobe.  I think irrationally so, but the point is they hate him.

kinda lame voters would use personal hate againt a team w/kobe and others...might as well cross SAC out the championship because everyone hates lebron.

I put my personal hate for Kobe aside, as do other posters.

But there are a lot of people here, myself included, who just don't like his game. With age, the con's are starting to catch up to the pro's.

Enough grilling of the Thunder. Time to put the screws to one of OKC's trade partners from today.

PG Steve Nash / Beno Udrih
SG Mike Miller / Jason Terry
SF Gerald Wallace / Evan Turner / Gordon Hayward
PF Udonis Haslem / Al Harrington / Anthony Randolph
C  Joakim Noah / JJ Hickson

Right. There is a definite case to be made that Kobe can hurt a team.

But, looking at your squad, Mo WIlliams>>Derek Fisher, Kobe, Ariza>Artest, Love<Gasol, Dalembert<<<Bynum.

That's about how I see your squad. Improvements at 2 spots, declines at 2 spots. Sizeable improvement at the PG, and sizeable decline at the 5.

Aside from my own team I probably know Lucky's team more then any other team due to always trying to trade and looking at rosters.

I like your team a lot more now with GWall at 3 and Haslem at 4. Only con I can find is a lack of D in the 2nd unit. I know for a fact the backup bigs don't bring any but maybe more in the backcourt. Also who would be your first sub, JET or Harrington?
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

First sub is Jet, I think. I want to keep Miller fresh. Terry will also help run the offense when Nash needs a breather and Udrih comes in. I think the Terry-Udrih combo is an effective one on offense.

I still have an open roster slot, so I am going to grab a tough guy off waivers. Overall, I could use some more defensive-minded players.

Yes, I have thought about that (but at SG, I assume?). I wonder if he is ready for prime time. I must admit to not having seen much of Turner last year.

Ya, at SG.

I didn't watch all that much of him either last year. But when I did I noticed he seems to have been developing pretty well, and he also seems to be a pretty solid teammate - really trying to adapt his skillset to the needed role.

I can't remember who, but a fairly regular poster (maybe Nick?) is from Philly, they'd probably the best one to answer.
