PG: to be determined
SG: Jason Richardson
SF: Carmelo Anthony
PF: Udonis Haslem
C:  Joakim Noah

Feel free to submit to me *via PM* your suggestion for PG from those players still left on the board. I have a couple in mind, but am curious to hear what others think (and why).

Don't like haslem as the starter or Melo as the leader of your team. Do like Noah's fire and the way Richardson complements Melo. You need a guy with a post game though and a pg who knows how to effectively run the offense and distribute it.

I like this team alot.

I agree though about a low post player.

Hows this team:

pg: Conoly Jr/K Irving
SG:Rip Hamilton
sF:Durant
PF:Scola
C:Perkins

thoughts??
Really like this team though a more athletic and active center offensively would have made you incredible.

I like the team the way it is.  Perk will set some nice screens for Rip to come off of as a 2nd option for Durrant.

this team the only contenders are
Deron, Monta, Chandler, Jamison and Brand
of ourse all hate pandas and we never make the playoffs

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.

Butler, for his career, is a 32% outside shooter.  Same as Wallace.

The rest of your players are playing the mid range game and need someone to set them up.

Therefor, pack it in for Rondo to keep him from penetrating and making it hard for him to set up the mid range jump shooters.

I don't see playoffs for this team the way it is built.

He's a career 32% but made 43% this year. He can make shots from the 3.

JO can post up and play pick and pop with Rajon.  Something they do a lot today. They can do it with Blatche who's shooting 44% from the field, half of it could are jumpshots as we know how he plays. And yes, Blatche can also post up as soft as he is). It can still open the lane up for Rondo.

This team is solid. On defense, fastbreaks and on the boards and on offense. Totally forgot to add that this starting 5 average a career 8.3 offensive rebounds a game. That's a bunch of 2nd chance opportunities on the starting 5 alone.

And Caron can shoot outside. He can with this team. Can it make the playoffs or not? I'm confident it can contend.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Derrick Williams was not only the most efficient scorer in college basketball among the 'superstars', but he's also a 50%+ shooter from 3.

That's all I'm saying.

Well that's not all I'm saying, but its part.

C - Dwight Howard
PF - Andrea Bargnani/ Carl Landry
SF - Shawn Marion
SG -
PG - Darren Collison

Clearly team is still a work in progress. Bargs is a controversy, ingot it. However I think offensively him and D12 compliment each other amazingly. Also with Marion I have one of the premier lockdown perimeter defenders in the game.  Collison is a bit of a work in progress but he has a high compete level, plays above average d, and has plus penetration skills.

Clearly the backcourt is thin, but I have a bunch of guys pegged that I think can help my team.  Thoughts and opinions? TP's for constructive criticism

Really like this team. Howard is always one of the best first round picks and the 4 rotation works with Bargs bringing offense and spacing while landry gets gets rebounds and stays low. Collison at point is good too. Just a decent sg away from a great team
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I'm putting my team up for criticism/positive feedbacks for everyone.

Atlanta Army Ants:

PG - Rajon Rondo

pass first/assist machine
can create open opportunities for teammates
can't make jumpshots

SG - Caron Butler

good scorer
can make outside shots and drive to the lane
coming off an injury and a little old

SF - Gerald Wallace

GREAT man and help defender
tough and gritty on both ends
has tendency to fall in love with jumpshots, which he's not as good.

PF - Andray Blatche

Big and athletic
has a solid mid range game
poor defense, decision making and WAY poor maturity issues

C - Jermaine O'neal

Tenacious interior defender
Solid post game
Fragile and lost a step or two (or four)

G - Jamal Crawford

can score in bunches
can create own shots
chuckler and tends to shoots ill advised shots

Bring it guys.
I don't know if this has already been brought up, but how is the spacing going to work with your starting lineup?  Neither Butler nor Wallace are a threat from 3.  We already know Rondo's reputation as a space-killer, and that's with two of the best 3pt shooters (including THE best) in the game next to him.

How are Butler and Wallace gonna do what they do best with the defense packing the paint?

Caron will play spot up. He can hit threes. Not like Ray but he can. Jamal can come in and do the same. Caron has solid mid range, he can just step a little closer inside the arc and make a shot after Rondo draws the defense. Blatche the cancer has a decent mid range too so as JO so they can pick and pop. Gerald can hit shots outside too. Again, not as good and consistent as Ray and other shooters, but decent enough to give attention.

Outside shooting after a kickout pass is not big of a problem for this team.

I agree with others.  This team is set up to crash and burn.

There is no space for Rondo to do what makes him great.

JO, I pray he makes it through a season.

Blatche, least favorite player in the league since he is wasting his talent by being soft and refusing to play defense.

There are some pieces here, but I don't think enough to ever recover from the Gay trade.

I can understand that Caron plays like a slasher. But he still has a mid range game and can shoot threes so how can he not stretch the floor for Rondo? The fact that he's older and maybe slower will make him play that role on this team.

Wallace can make 15-19 footers as well. And Jamal, need we ask his outside shooting? So how come this team can't stretch the floor?

Blatche, as soft and defensively poor he is, he can still make contributions to this team. He's a 16 pts - 8 reb guy. He's ahletic so he can run with Rondo and Crash on fastbreaks. He knows how to place himself inside and get open for Rondo to find him. He can and will rebound even if he's lazy on defense. And he can hit 10-15 ft jumpers too. His defense is indeed a problem but JO and Crash and another big man I'll select later in the drafts will help him to cover up that assignment, and then go for the rebound after JO, mystery big and/or Crash makes some dude miss. He could be a nutcase but let's remember that he was a candidate for most improved player last year and has shown consistent improvement every year.

And oh, let's not forget JO's solid 15-18 ft jumpers. How can that not stretch the floor for Rondo to move?
Wallace and Caron both CAN hit 3s, but typically only when they're hot.  Defenders can play further away from them than they would a player with a consistent 3pt shot.  Normally that's not a huge deal if paired with other more competent shooters, but you're building around Rondo, whose man is pretty much a free safety on defense.

Mid range jumpers just aren't gonna cut it when the defense can pretty much play a zone.  Slashers need at least average shooters to give them space to drive, it's tough to put 3 only-slashers on the court at the same time.

last 2 lines where a joke.

The more you talk about your over hyped team the more I REALLY love my team. If you have to include ppg in your roster thats a great first step to becoming Golden State Warriors of recent years. Just terrible.

Nobodys talking about your team so stop defending them for no reason.  K thanks bye

At least david lee's not on the brink of retiring and can actually rebound.

It;s golden state because every game it will be one ill advised 3pt shot after another until one goes in. Yay we're actually professional basketball players.

If my team is CP3 and a bunch of nobodies, then you have a nice core of DWill and nobodies. Call me when anyone on your teams gets a ring or even get in the finals.  :o

Eh, I don't know if stones are the best weapon in your arsenal right now. You're banking on a lane clogging big, a immature center, and a shooting guard who has as much cartilage in his kness as rupert murdoch has intergrity.

Those who live in glass houses should make love in the dark. That's all I'm saying.
