So, how good are you at selling a player?

Not that good. I'm no Roy Hobbs.

Orlando Magic pick:

JaVale McGee
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

There's a lot of rookies this year that I could see playing roles on contenders.

Agreed, lot of role playing talent in this draft.

And here is what went into it for me: People drafted John Wall in the 1st last year, and I get it that 'you can't win when your best player out there is a rookie'.

But I didn't draft Williams in the first or second, I drafted him in the 4th. There are 3 other more critical players out there on the floor with him, and all I'm expecting Williams to do in his rookie season is spark the second unit at the 4, let the offense come to him with the starters, and rebound/defend. He'll take his lumps, but he'll be a net positive for me, big time.

"But I didn't draft DeMarcus Cousins in the first or second, I drafted him with my 4th pick. There are 3 other more critical players out there on the floor with him, and all I'm expecting Boogie to do in his rookie season is let the offense come to him with the starters and rebound."

Instead he ended up being the most sighted reason why I couldn't earn better than an eighth seed. Rookies don't win.

Rookies with highly flawed games don't win.

Yeah, Boogie is a bit of a different story. I didn't draft a crazy person.

Makes sense.
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

My 2 backup bigs were rookies. The Celtics won in 2008 with Powe & Davis getting regular rotation minutes.

The rookies don't win argument, to me, is invalid. It's all about what you're asking a rookie to do, and what he's capable of.
