2 Trades To Announce, Neither Of Which I'm Really Pleased With:

The Jazz send Chris Kaman, 7.18, and 8.7
Thunder send 4.20, 5.5, and 6.15

Hawks send Rudy Gay and 6.5
Pacers send 4.23 and 5.14.

Both trades are considerably unbalanced.

If I can, I'll update the draft boards/Rosters/Players list tonight. If I can't, I won't.

If someone else does one, two, or all three, they get 30TP's a piece. Opportunity to get some real TP growth here, and you get to earn it the old fashioned way.

IP the trade the jazz and i just made was basically a tradeback from our monday trade which was this:

5th Trade:
Thunder trades: 3.18 7.18 8.7
Jazz Trades: 4.20 5.5 6.15

today was:
The Jazz send Chris Kaman(3.12), 7.18, and 8.7
Thunder send 4.20, 5.5, and 6.15

how is that unbalance? it was almost the same trade!

Because Kaman has a higher value than where he was picked.

Because Kaman has a higher value than where he was picked.

I disagree, I thought Kaman has much less value than where he was picked and that Utah was the clear winner of that trade.

Edit: Actually, I'm coming around a little. Steve Nash will be really good for Kaman offensively. As will Kobe to a lesser degree.

Kaman is skilled guy who'll do very well playing alongside those two. Give them 15 or so points a night and be very effective doing it. That is nice. Gives them a low post option in the halfcourt. Something different outside of Kobe and Nash. A strong foundation to an elite offensive team.

No, I'll wait and see who OKC puts around Kaman at the forward positions and backup big men spots. That could work out well for them.

My first reaction didn't account for how good a situation that is for Kaman. That could work out. A better acquisition than I first thought.

I still like the trade for Utah. I think they can upgrade their roster by making that deal.

Lol that looks terrible when you put it like that. HAHA

Anyways I didn't like the vibes I was getting from posters that were talking about Kaman, due to his injuries, and I didn't want to wait to 5.20 to pick again. Kaman just wasn't worth the lack of depth and versatility I have to make other moves. It cost me a few draft slots though.

For a game where the posters vote on who wins. The vote in regards to Kaman is way too split for my liking.

I was just looking at the player not the draft position. I guess its more fair than I originally thought..

The Rudy Gay trade?

Reminds me of my _____ ____ trade the first year I did this, where I basically had a player I didn't like, and fell in love with younger more unproven talent that I could get later on.

Parker/Gay/Zbo/Gasol is a heck of a team, and I'm glad they're in the East.

For those of you toiling on the Draft Board/Player list, I'm going to update the player list first, because its easier.

Lol that's the point everyone would have except for the guy obviously who traded Rudy Gay. I think it came down to him wanting more depth though. Still let's put this in perspective.

Hawks sends: 3(12), 3(23), 6(13)
Warriors sends: 2(20) = *Rudy Gay*, 6(5), 8(5)

Hawks send Rudy Gay and 6.5
Pacers send 4.23 and 5.14.

So the trade ends up being 3.12, 3.23, 6.13 for 4.23, 5.14, 8.5  :-X :'( >:(

That's the kind of move that gets real GMs fired.

Yes. But, now that its been said, lets leave it at that.

No use souring a GM on day 3 because of a bad trade. As the guy who traded away a probable championship last season (and the guy consistently reminded of it) I can tell you that nobody is a tougher judge of something like that than yourself, and it is not like Yoki still can't make something of his squad.

Last year I mortgaged my 2nd and 3rd rounders in a trade that had people raving, and days later traded away the player that I'd acquired in a trade that had people laughing. I still made the Finals, maybe he can do something similar.
