No use souring a GM on day 3 because of a bad trade. As the guy who traded away a probable championship last season (and the guy consistently reminded of it) I can tell you that nobody is a tougher judge of something like that than yourself, and it is not like Yoki still can't make something of his squad.

Wait, when did you trade the championship away last year and to whom?

Wow, that is a very impressive core.

That makes four teams that standout to me after three rounds. Pacers, Kings, Nuggets and Thunder ... wait, did OKC just make that C.Kaman trade? Hmm, I might scratch them off the list. Have to think about that.

lol, I've gotten used to the Who 'stamp of approval' the last couple of drafts!

So is it apprehension of the consistency of Lowry, Stat, Bogut, all three, or you just don't think they're that good?
There are lots of really good teams out there. You are certainly one of them. I am just not sure you have separated yourself from the pack yet.

The next couple of rounds will be important.

To someone who recognized the greatness in Amar'e Stoudemire when i did not. At the time, i didn't believe that Stat would be as prolific without Steve Nash, and at the same time, I didn't trust in Okafor's ability to dominate like I wanted my center to. So, I traded away Stat for a center that looked like he fit the bill I wanted (mobile, hungry, competitive, great leadership).

I was wrong.

What's that? You want a reach? You want a binky? You want Start Orien to not be surprised????

With the 15th pick in the third, the Blazers select Kyle Lowry.

Now you know why you missed out on a Christmas card this year. Nobody likes a gloater.

But I did make it to the Finals....where did you end up?

Alright dudes and dudettes, I'm done for the night. I'll update the board in the morning, right before I make my pick at 4.1

If you want my pick at 4.1, it costs a top-10 4th and a late 5th. I'll throw a 7th in to make it work.

Holler.

Funny. I seem to remember not only apologizing to KC for my major mistake regarding Wes Matthews but I even humbled myself repeatedly for that err. I have come around to be a huge Wes Matthews fan and yet can never live down the mistake I made three years ago.  :-[ :-[ :-[

I think I'm going to put poop in a bag, light it on fire and put it on KC's doorstep if this continues. No. Better yet, I will draft Wes Matthews in every draft I can just before KC can just so he can never has his binky in this game ever.

 ;D ;D ;D

Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do.

I caught wind of both the Kaman and Rudy Gay trades early on, hence my reference to "buyer's remorse."

I have no problem with either deal: the GMs involved felt compelled to make changes, at what they deemed were acceptable costs.

With the 4.17, I'm contemplating moving up, moving back, or packaging the pick with a rostered player. If you've got ideas, feel free to bounce them off me.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
The Pacers got Rudy for a 4 and a 5? I'd have done that.

Lol that's the point everyone would have except for the guy obviously who traded Rudy Gay. I think it came down to him wanting more depth though. Still let's put this in perspective.

Hawks sends: 3(12), 3(23), 6(13)
Warriors sends: 2(20) = *Rudy Gay*, 6(5), 8(5)

Hawks send Rudy Gay and 6.5
Pacers send 4.23 and 5.14.

So the trade ends up being 3.12, 3.23, 6.13 for 4.23, 5.14, 8.5  :-X :'( >:(

That's the kind of move that gets real GMs fired.

Yeah, i hate to do this as well but that's the best offer i had for Rudy. So fire me.

I made a bad decision on drafting Gerald Wallace who was I believe the BPA at 2.23, and got stuck with two SF's.

I was shopping Crash but realized he's a better player than Gay. Although Rudy is a prolific scorer, Wallace is better all around.

Having both of them is good, but knowing i won't pick till the 5th round i won't have any depth in my team. And looking at the draft board of who's left, it's a risk I'm willing to take.

The 4th and 5th round is make or break for my team. I still have Rondo and Crash, that's a solid duo who can do it all already.
