Quote from: StartOrien on May 18, 2011, 08:59:12 AMAre you guys suggesting that what these representatives and media members are seeing is a state of the art hologram machine? No, just that your argumentation isn´t waterproof. Siegfried and Roy aren´t really magicians and can "teleport" white tigers, too.

Are you guys suggesting that what these representatives and media members are seeing is a state of the art hologram machine?"Sit in this pod, fools!" - David SternOr perhaps the representatives and media members are the holograms?

Think of it this way: Did Mo Williams help the Clippers gain or lose a place in the rankings? If so, they wouldn't have ended up with the #1 pick even if they hadn't made the trade.See? All better, Clippers fans.

The owners could very well be in the dark about the whole thing.

That the balls don´t fall the way they should? Even if something goes wrong during the process, it wouldn´t necessarily mean that the lottery is rigged. On the other hand, the NBA is competing with several leagues (NFL, MLB, NHL) for viewership. Having hometown heroes on certain teams could ensure to keep interest in these franchises high.
Not to play mod, but the discussion is off topic somewhat.I'd rather discuss how stupid the Clippers are anyway. Sterling gets everything bad he deserves.

Cavs were going to get 1st pick no matter what. David Stern throwing Cavs a bone post-lebron rebuild. The lottery is done behind closed door for a reason @ 4:50 watch for bent edge first envelope http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TgJE7C5wiU

The lottery is done behind closed door for a reason @ 4:50 watch for bent edge first envelope http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TgJE7C5wiU I never noticed this before; but when Stern picks the first envelope he looks directly into the drum for the one he wants (the bent corner). For all other picks he is facing another direction for a random pick. He also takes a deep breath as if he's a little nervous before the first pick.
If the Clippers are such imbeciles why don't they trade us Mo Williams and Blake Griffen for Rondo and Glen Davis? You right, they are very dumb.
Quote from: Jsaad on May 18, 2011, 06:59:30 AMThe Celtics pick from the Clippers (via OKC) is unprotected in 2016, I believe. Correct?Yes. It's protected until then, but we will absolutely get their pick in 2016 at the latest (unlike those three second-rounders that Sacramento "owes" us, which literally we will never get unless they suddenly become a title contender).
