I really like the CP3 pick. Like, a lot.

I hate it and think we should reverse the decision and have him pick someone else.

CP3 to Memphis is a great fit.

Pretty solid squad there.

With Bob Cousy, it's going to be interesting to see how Bahku utilizes him.  I'm not in love with his next to Jordan in the starting unit.

The big issues I have with Cousy are his shooting and his defense.  Normally, those wouldn't be a problem with such great players next to him, but the issue is that his passing skills are negated a bit by Jordan's ball dominance.  Is Cousy good enough to play off the ball?  Similarly, defensively things are going to be tough on a squad with Cousy, Dominique, and Dirk (and an undersized Howard, compared to his peers).

That doesn't mean it was a bad pick; Cousy was an MVP who was phenomenal at running an offense.  However, I'm not sure that he'd be my starter.

It's interesting to see the different philosophies in action.  Moranis, for instance, is building a squad around uber-athletic modern day players (well, three of his starters), whereas, say, Redz is built around players who dominated other eras.  The discussion at the end of this will be fascinating to see how people think they match up against other teams.

Another question: If height cannot be considered strictly static, can athleticism be considered the same mutable trait?

We're finally getting our run on PGs.  All three taken this round were phenomenal in their own ways (as was Sam Jones at SG).

I love love love the Nique/Jordan combo on the wings.  That's a heck of a lot of athleticism, if you add in Dwight that's almost as much as my squad.  I was dreaming that I could grab him as a 6th man.

I'd focus on some shooting as defenses are gonna love making Cousy shoot instead of MJ.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I'm not so sure. If I'm a team without a point guard right now I could see myself waiting a ways before making that selection.

Depending on who you ask, he was around the 5th or 6th best PG of all time, and worked pretty well with some very similarly athletic players the likes of Pettit, KC Jones, Bill Russell, Tommy Heinsohn, helping win the first-ever sweep in the NBA Finals against the Lakers ... I can't imagine him not starting, and I feel he would be the perfect compliment to a team filled with shooters. We'll see who's left when my pick comes around again ... I could very well go with another PG first, (I have one in mind who would also work well with an MJ core). ;)

I really don't know how people are going to respond to this but looking at my team and the way its contructed I need to go with a good shot blocker and rebounder. So I will be bringing a player back that played with the hawks in the 90's
