Spurs frontline could not stop Memphis's....kinda crazy, but it happened.

Hornets up 6 in the 2nd.
Now they're up 9. Man I hope the Celtics don't take New York lightly. These bottom teams are not playing right now.

Great game by Memphis. I felt bad for them when Bonner hit the two 3's, I thought "wow looks like the supposedly weak team can only lead for 46 minutes but always lose in the end"... and then Battier hit that huge 3. Props to TA for making the two big FTs to seal the win, too.

If he was any other coach, not working Splitter into the rotation would be a fair grounds to fire Popovich.

The Spurs interior defense is too small and slow. They need a guy who brings quickness and length... and they have him buried in the bench. That Bonner/Blair duo is an abomination. Every minute Duncan is resting, Splitter should be on the floor.

Right now, I think MEM's frontline matches up better with LA than San Antonio.

Spurs can beat LA on the perimeter, but inside? I'm not sure.

It's interesting how many teams are now using the 2-PG backcourt.  Hornets with Paul and Jack, Nuggets with Felton and Lawson, and we've all seen Doc tinker with Rondo/Robinson and Rondo/Arroyo lineups (West isn't really a true PG).

Wow, what a dish by CP.  Lakers on their heels - I still think they'll win this one, but I'd love to be wrong.

Me too. I see the Lakers wining but if New Orleans shock the NBA and the Lakers, I would be happy. That and if the Celtics win playing better than all the top seeds along with Rondo going 2010 playoffs off, showing the east who the team to beat is, I will be happy for the rest of the day.

Kobe down...looks like a neck bruise.  Speaking from experience those can hurt like heck and be really tough to loosen up.  Nothing that'll cost him time though.

You know, maybe that David West injury is a blessing in disguise.

David West plays into the Laker's strength. He's less mobile and relies on his mid-range jumpshots. Gasol would be able to contain him. But with Landry, it forces Gasol to not use his length as an advantage. His athleticism should be exploited if Hornets want to win this series

Glad to see the Hornets leading the Lakers but I think they will (unfortunately) lose the game.

OK, both Philly and Indy were up by double digits last night and still turned the game around. I hope that at least this doesn't happen in LA right now.
