Just tuned in.  Dwight has 30 in the half??

I wonder if he can get 50 without fouling out?!

Magic getting blown out by the Hawks.  Arenas looks like a D-league player.  Magic fans have to be dreading a Howard trade demand this offseason.

Yeah, how bad must the Magic be if they get 30 points from Dwight in a half and are still on their way to a loss against the Hawks?

Howard will be in a different uniform next season unless the CBA gives the Magic strong measures to hold onto him no matter what.

Can we agree, perhaps, that the trade the Magic made earlier in the season was actually a worse trade than the one the Celtics made mid-season?  The Magic are clearly a much worse team than they were last year.  Hard to even call them a contender anymore.

Things I'd like to see Orlando do

(1) Never play JJ Redick against Joe Johnson or Marvin Williams. He simply isn't big enough to play adequate defense against either player. JJ Redick's only court time should come against Jamal Crawford (PG/SG). In other words, Redick's playing time is going to be limited in this series unless he plays the backup PG role instead of Gilbert Arenas.

(2) Quentin Richardson should be Orlando's main backup wing in this series because Atlanta's wing players simply have too much size for Orlando's other options. Q is physically strong and decent defensively. He is their best option.

(3) Dwight Howard needs to defend Al Horford. The Magic cannot afford to give up easy baskets to Horford in one-on-one play. They have to avoid using Bass + R.Anderson against Horford as much as possible.

(4) When Bass is in the game, try to use him against Josh Smith. That means putting Hedo Turkoglu on Jason Collins. That will limit the potential damage of Josh Smith's one-on-one and post game against Turkoglu. This wasn't really an issue tonight but it will be throughout the series.

Hedo Turkoglu can also give you minutes against Josh Powell and Etan Thomas. Probably against Zaza Pachulia also but Orlando should watch that matchup closely because Zaza is a very talented and aggressive offensive rebounder ... and Hedo, well, isn't (much of a rebounder).

By putting Bass on J.Smith and Dwight on Horford, the Magic will have effectively neutralized (at least to their best of their ability) two of Atlanta's three matchup advantages in the starting lineup.

I really liked Larry Drew staying big on the perimeter and particularly on the wings. I also loved him using Joe Johnson in his second unit.

That lineup combination of J.Crawford + J.Johnson + M.Williams vs G.Arenas + JJ Redick + J.Richardson ... is going to be very valuable throughout the series.

Marvin Williams is an underrated scorer in isolation opportunities and in post ups. He can take advantage of Orlando's small wings ... especially their two guards Redick and/or J-Rich. He is a matchup problem for Orlando in this series whenever Hedo Turkoglu is off the floor.

Looking forward to this Portland-Dallas series, the Blazers second unit (particularly their big guards/wings) should be able to destroy Dallas' small guards and create separation on the score board. I expect to see this happen regularly during the series and be the main reason for Portland's victories.

Also, this is a terrific matchup for Brandon Roy because they can use him as a point guard in a big lineup against Jason Kidd. Kidd is a non-scorer at this point in his career and rarely ventures into the paint anymore. Portland can easily hide him out there.

Roy is also going to be excellent (offensively, creating matchup advantage) against Dallas' small guards (Barea, Terry, Beaubois) ... none of those guys can even pretend to defend Roy effectively. Roy isn't much of a defender against those guys on the other end of the floor either though so they'll need to use Rudy/Wes/Batum against those smaller guys and hide Brandon on someone else.

I really like the way the playoffs have started, everything ive felt is happening

I dont think chicago is very good, Ive said this many times before, i think Carlos boozer is very overated and will continue to fail, Carlos Loozer is not that good

I dont like the bulls, they are a team that played 110% in the regular season but in the playoffs when every team will be playing 110% every game they will struggle

I hate Luol Dengs game, he is very stale, he cant make anything happen

and I do not like the fact that there leading scorer comes from a pg

i also do not like bogans starting at sg in the playoffs

I love the celtics chances against them

I also do not like the magic and it showed again

first off i never seen the magic as a threat to the celtics ever, and they are wore this year then ever before

People were mad we traded perk, ill get to that in a moment again, because nobody would defend Dwight Howard, lol the hawks Used JASON COLLINS on him and still blown out the magic at Orlando...and the celtics have 3 centers much better then the hawks centers, the hawks didnt stop him but still blew them out, Magic are garbage , i could go into even more detail why they stink

I feel the celtics have a very tough matchup in the first round but they are going to make an example out of the knicks

the celtics are about to destroy the eastern confrence

im telling you the celtics are going to be Extremely dangerous this playoffs

this will be the best the celtics have looked in the playoffs the past 4 seasons

so much talent that when they are going to be focused it will show

Jeff Green will come up huge, him and delonte west

The big 4 goes without saying

and as bad as everyone hates the celtics center trio they are probably the second best trio in the whole eastern confrence

Well I said from the start that the Magic trade (or trades) were a bad idea. The only big man they have left is Howard, and when the shooters can't bring it like they failed to in due fashion tonight, Howard has to score 46 points and 19 rebounds for the Magic to even stand a chance.....
