This is more the GMs fault for not building a deeper team that could handle injuries.

tebow, again.  the dude just consistently finds ways to win ugly.  i guess after a certain point you just have to say he is really good at winning games without looking very good doing it.
Nope.

Bears RB doesn't fumble or step out of bounds game over.

He's very good at scoring 10 points in regulation. That is losing football in the NFL the majority of the time Sadly the Bears offense sucks too.

But hey I'm sure his "leadership" made Marion barber forget to just fall down.
Let's also not rule out the horrid coaching job done in the fourth quarter by the Bear's coaching staff.

In their last four possessions the didn't try to throw the ball one time which lead to three and outs each time. They were convinced they didn't need to score again and that Denver wouldn't score enough to win so the went into an offense centered around killing the clock instead of scoring points.

Then in the last three Denver possessions the Chicago defense went into a cover 2, dime, prevention defense that was leaving receivers wide open for 10-15 yard completions over the middle rather than staying with the aggressive, zone and man packages with Urlacher playing a Tebow shadow that they were throwing at Tebow all day. Its no wonder Tebow went from throwing 13 straight incompletions to Superman. Any QB could have completed most of the throws to WIDE open receivers that he was making in the 4th quarter.

Credit to Tebow though. In the fourth he took what he was given and took advantage of it. If they aren't playing in the thin air of Denver or if he didn't have a great kicker, Denver might have lost this game. But they did play in Denver and Prater is an exceptional kicker and Tebow was awesome in the fourth so hats off to the Broncos.

Lance Briggs: "He played hard. I respect a guy that plays hard, him and all the other 10 guys on that field for the Broncos."

Julius Peppers: "It wasn't anything special that he did."

Brian Urlacher: "He's a good running back."

Lance Briggs is pretty reasonable, but the other two?  Talk about sour grapes, this is up there with Marshall Faulk saying, "The better team didnt win" after the 2001 superbowl

Yeah, but you can't rule out a horrid job coaching by the Broncos either. Do you think maybe you can create a turnover against Caleb Hannie? Maybe?

I can understand Peppers saying what he did because what Tebow did wasn't very special, it was very basic. In a "take what they give you and they are giving you 15 yard completion type of two minute offense", Tebow was successful. I don't think what he did was special just effective.

Urlacher's comment is sour grapes, though, it does have some truth to it. Tebow probably is a better running back than he is a quarterback.

I will say what is special is Tebow's string of come from behind wins. That's pretty darn impressive.

Urlacher is so dumb he doesn't even get how dumb it is to say what he said.

Hey Urlacher. Your team just got beat by a team that played a running back at quarterback. What did you do about it?

Exactly.

Urlacher. The Dan Marino of linebackers.

I wouldn't even give him that much credit.

He's more like the Brian Sipe, Ken Anderson or Dave Kreig of linebackers. Really very good but not one of the all-time best.

But I don't think any of them ever got on the cover of a video game or made a Nike commercial, which is pretty much where most of the Urlacher mystique comes from and you can't be an all time great without that.

Man, there is some crazy stuff going on in these early games right now;

'Skins leading the Giants by 17.

Panthers sticking it to the Texans 21-0

New Orleans, Green Bay, and Tennessee all in dogfights right now.

Bears may be finding their mojo right before the half.

Btw,

Did Rodgers really have to wait until Week 15 aka fantasy playoffs to have himself an offday (so far)?   :P
