Hernandez is rippin' it up right now.

I think they are double-covering Gronk, which frees up other guys, like Hernandez.

Yup.  That's the bonus in having two rock solid TE's.  Focus on one and the other can step up and bite you.

Pats deferred to start the game so they'll get the ball to start the 2nd half.  Golden opportunity to really exert control and tempo.

Its not even a question for me.  The guy is playing quarterback as well as anyone has ever played the position right now. 

The 5,000+ yards looks pretty at all but Rodgers is having the better year.

A New Orleans-Green Bay NFC Championship game would be one heckuva game.    That Week One battle was a classic.

I do agree that New Orleans would have a really good shot to knock off the Packers. 

One can only imagine what the weather might be like in that game.

I concur, but Brees does have a higher completion percentage as well and is actually on pace to set the all time record (which he tied in 2009).  With 11 completions Brees will set the all time record for those as well. 

In any other year Brees would be lauded as having perhaps the greatest season ever, which really tells you just how good Rodgers season is.

I agree as well, but I have to give a very strong nod to Tom Brady, (largely overlooked in these discussions), who, when it comes right down to the nitty-gritty and numbers, has done the most with the least supporting cast. Brady has carried more weight and overcome the deficits of a weaker defense and offensive line to attain a record that is, to a larger percent, because of his talent. My strong third-place holder and runner-up contender.

MVP is more than just about numbers. I think most of the voters will realize this.  Even so, Rodgers numbers are right up there.

Not everything that Rodgers is doing on the field can be quantified but just watching the guy run his offense and the effect its had on his team this year is at a level that is nearly unprecedented in the NFL history at the QB position.

Sure as heck didn't look like a Pro-Bowler this past Sunday.

Still he has a pretty solid shot at the Pro Bowl given the fact that either Brady or Rothliesberger will most likely sit out the Pro Bowl b/c of the Super Bowl (Brady will prob sit out regardless) and Schaub is done for the year.
