It can't be a good sign that he had to stop and bend over in obvious pain on the way to the locker room.

This is all speculation, we won't know until Saturday's MRI.

Let's hope for the best.

A 2 week injury wouldn't be so bad, a season ending injury might pose a problem.

Could care less what it is honestly, he sucks and shouldnt have been playing during the playoffs either way.

Get well soon Nenad, you wont be missed.

Totally not needed.

Really, I don't get the high hopes on Troy Murphy, and the bashing on Krstic. I'd like to be wrong, but Troy Murphy's interior defense makes Nenad look like Dikembe Mutombo.

Troy won't give the Celtics C or even PF minutes, unless you consider Scals was a backup PF/C. He is a tall SF, and unlike Scals, he doesn't work and give 110% on D.

I hope Troy can contribute this year, but Nenad has shown he can do it, not for 35 minutes, but for 15? Clearly yes.

If Nenad's injury is for the year, cut Murphy or Sasha (Wafer seems to be ok) and sign any big available who can defend in the paint. Sheed is my favorite, but he was injured last year, so probably couldn't play even if he wanted to. Someone who can foul six times, block some shots and get rebounds... don't know who could fit into that description.

Hopefully it's something minor, it's not funny to have so many injuries to all our bigs.

I really don't think Nenad's injury is a tear or break or anything. I think it's just a knee sprain and he'll be back for round 1 of the playoffs. That's just what it looked like for me. A lot of times injuries look much worst than they actually are.

Having just watched that again on a youtube clip, it really didn't look that bad.  Hoping it's a minor sprain.

TP Mencius.  I missed a few minutes at different parts of the second quarter so I was gonna ask for someone to post a video, but now I don't have to.

One center comes back another one goes down... UGH!

I didn't think Krstic's injury looked terrible. Hopefully he'll be alright but even if he is out, I really do think JO can give us more than most of us are expecting.

JO seems really confident in his health in this postgame interview from tonight. Words only go so far, but for a guy who said he's been unsure whether his knee will flare up after a game for the past year, this is great news. Optimism ftw

The good news is he put weight on it. They really will need 10 or so minutes a game from him in the playoffs.

Get well soon, Curly.

I'd much rather have Nenad Krstic than Troy Murphy in the playoffs.  He's a crafty player who moves much better than he's been given credit for.

Not only that, but I feel like he's shown some real Celtic pride since donning the green uni.  He was buried on the bench in OKC, then came over as an afterthought in the trade for Jeff Green.  He got an opportunity due to our perpetually injured front line and made the most of it.  Kid's busted his hump for the Cs.  He's even got a Hate Club which means you know he's an important factor on the team.

On the other hand, Jermaine did look decent tonight . . .

C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Thanks a lot for posting that audio.  I have heard a few interviews with JO, and I always come away with respect.  He is really well spoken and professional and seems to be a hard worker and knows what is required of him in this situation.  He played great tonight being his 1st game from the layoff.  Absolutely a difference maker on defense, any offense he gives is gravy.  If we get Shaq back and Nenad can give us 10-15 in the playoffs I like our chances.  I think Nenad going against 2nd string / 3 string centers will get his mojo back and find his role.

He was buried on the bench in OKC, then came over as an afterthought in the trade for Jeff Green.

He was a starter, he started the 47 games he played for them this season.

Murphy in shape is a much better rebounder than Krstic, a fairly more efficient scorer, a much better passer and ball mover and a relatively worse defender (Krstic is bad, Murphy is awful). Plus, he can spread the floor. If he's in good form, he'll get the nod.

Hopefully, none of them has to play except in garbage time.

Being the center for the Celtics these days is like being the drummer for Spinal Tap.

Hope Nenad recovers - the buckle didn't look that bad to me, but everything I'm hearing says it probably was.  Fingers crossed.

More like the drummer from Def Leppard...

Nenad was playing ok to start the game.  He's been in slump , but I think he really tries hard and would be a great backup center .  It didn't look as bad as the TV people commented , and he did put weight on it and look up at the ball at the end of the play.  Probally, miss a couple weeks.  I wish him a fast recovery.

Wonder if we could buy Erdin back.
