Really, I don't get the high hopes on Troy Murphy, and the bashing on Krstic. I'd like to be wrong, but Troy Murphy's interior defense makes Nenad look like Dikembe Mutombo.
Troy won't give the Celtics C or even PF minutes, unless you consider Scals was a backup PF/C. He is a tall SF, and unlike Scals, he doesn't work and give 110% on D.
I hope Troy can contribute this year, but Nenad has shown he can do it, not for 35 minutes, but for 15? Clearly yes.
If Nenad's injury is for the year, cut Murphy or Sasha (Wafer seems to be ok) and sign any big available who can defend in the paint. Sheed is my favorite, but he was injured last year, so probably couldn't play even if he wanted to. Someone who can foul six times, block some shots and get rebounds... don't know who could fit into that description.
Hopefully it's something minor, it's not funny to have so many injuries to all our bigs.
