Doc says that Shaq did "skeleton workouts" (you know the ones that injured West) and that he looked good.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Here's my update...
Shaq is morphing into shape as the monster we saw in the first 3 weeks of the season.

His hibernation is almost over and his assault on the would be lane drivers will commence in about a week.

that's all i wanted to hear!
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

@ESPNForsberg:

Shaq now looking unlikely for Wednesday. Foot is bothering him again. Doc said he'll simply toss Delonte & Shaq in once healthy.

I think this has more to do with shaq losing weight and being in shape for the playoffs than about a big injury

What is actually wrong with Shaq? Originally it was his hip abductor, then his achilles, and now his foot?

I hope they are using these "injuries" as a front for shutting him down during the doldrums of the regular season. Because it sounds like he has several mysterious nagging injuries.

As long as he is healthy by April, I don't care. We now have depth at C (when BBD comes back). He more than anyone can just go out and play and be effective. It's JO and DWest that need to get back sooner and get into shape and get their rhythm back.

Achilles is the foot.

I hope this injury doesn't turn into something chronic. It has lingered on a bit too long imo

Actually, it's not. If Doc is classifying it as that, OK. Do you consider the ankle the foot too?

Rest up Shaq, no rush. Let him take another 2 weeks if need be. Now is the time to rest him.

So Shaq was going to miss 2-3 games and his foot is still bothering him and it has been six weeks since he played in a real game. But don't worry, Danny is confident that Shaq is going to be just fine.

And JO was going to rest for 4-5 weeks, because that is what his knee required and then he was going to come back and play with no restrictions -- that is what Dannny says. Oh wait, three weeks later, JO needs surgery and that is going to cure all ills. And again, since Danny says JO is going to be ready to contribute by the playoffs, I am sure it is true.

This season is going to go up in smoke on the backs of two big guys who are not going to be healthy. So, what does Danny do, he adds offense. Maybe he hopes to outscore teams all the way to championship 18.

Not sure if Perk would have gotten healthy, but at least it gave them a third option and a guy who could clog the middle.

Is Shaq really hurt or is this a total rest thing?
