If what Doc said holds true, he should be playing tonight!

Should, but he won't. Doc said some days ago 1-2 weeks for Shaq.

What about Troy, will he play if he signs today?

I believe he can sign only starting March 3, since he was released late in the evening on February 28 and he is required to wait 48 hours prior to signing with another team. So that would be very close, but maybe the C's will get it done.

accdg to Doc, Shaq should be playing in the upcoming Phoenix game. Troy Murphy so far is just a verbal commitment as far as i know. hopefully, Corey Brewer follows suit :P

A couple of days ago, Danny said that Shaq will miss 1 - 2 more weeks, and J.O. should be out 3 - 4.  I wouldn't expect him back for the Suns game.

To me, I hope he doesn't get to play yet and waits a while getting healthier. During the meantime, we can increase playing time for the new guys and see who fits and who doesn't.

I heard he was still bothered slightly by it.   "It's not healing" was what I heard but I think that is code for " we are trying to lower his butt by a zip code and get him into shape".  Reportedly he is down to 309, he weighed 303 as a rookie.  That is down some 16 lbs from his weight earlier in the season.   We made this mistake with Sheed last year, sounds like the C's won't be fooled again.

I can't hardly remember a time where Shaq didn't take a month or two off in a season. I guess my conspiracy theory is that it's known when he signs that he will do this. :-\

Here's my update...
Shaq is morphing into shape as the monster we saw in the first 3 weeks of the season.

His hibernation is almost over and his assault on the would be lane drivers will commence in about a week.

Does anyone else think that the biggest concern with Shaq is not truly his health but foul issues.  As his effectiveness waned this season, he was accumulating 5 fouls in like 18 minutes of floor time.  To me, the issue isn't keeping Shaq healthy as I don't think his issues are that severe (he would have been playing all along I think if it were playoffs), but I am concerned he won't be able to stay on the court once healthy due to his propensity to get into foul trouble.

From what I have heard he may play tonight.  I wouldn't be surprised if they hold him out a little longer (particularly if Murphy dresses tonight), but from everything I heard, he is basically ready to come back.

I expect him to suit up tonight. RT @shadowbohemian: @SherrodbCSN Any chance Murphy plays tonight vs Suns?

Someone said after the road trip a couple days ago, i don't know if that was before or after Doc saying 1-2 weeks.  Anyone help me out here?  We could definitely use him tonight to punish the Suns although they'll be tough to beat even with him if they make all their 3s again.

He has to have missed at least 1/3 of the games so far.  Good thing we only paid him the minimum.
