Shaq and JO are going to be big time contributors in the playoffs. Danny told me and I believe everything he says.

I don't think he is just resting, but there are those who believe that.

I honestly dont know what to believe. I dont think there has been one accurate statement about a Celtic players health or prognosis for years now. Its getting rediculous. Either they lie or they are terrible at their jobs.

You guys act like Shaq was never out indefinately.

Hes been gone for 6 weeks now, and has a sore foot, stop overreacting. We dont need him to get the #1 seed, nor do we need him in the first round of the playoffs.

Guys, especially guys the size of shaq, can't sit three months and then miraculously be in game shape.

He's been doing it for the last 4-6 years so, he's used to it. Plus, he seems to be in better shape now from all the reports (of course, that's not the same as game shape).

I had something similar 3 years ago, it's more of a discomfort type of feeling rather then pain. Those injuries are annoying since they take time to heal, but i'm sure if the playoffs started tomorrow Shaq would be playing along with Delonte.

Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Looks like he'll be out for a while more:
http://www.csnne.com/03/06/11/Shaquille-ONeal-out-indefinitely/v1_landing_celtics.html?blockID=434473&feedID=3945

The news about him isn't great, but he certainly looks it physically.

It looks true that he lost 15 pounds. If they are erring on the side of caution with him and he is getting into better shape at the same time, this is fine. These sound more like nagging or persistent injuries instead of severe ones. Not that they can't become problematic, but they are manageable.

I'm going to be patient with the O'Neal's. We need them in May, which means they should be playing with the team when the calender turns to April, not before.

At least one benefit with Shaq is that we dont have to worry about him forgetting how to play or being rusty. Dude practically invented basketball he's been playin so long
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.
