ESPNForsberg: Encouraging sign: Shaq traveled with Celtics to Houston today. In fact, entire roster, except JO, made trek, according to team.

Looks like Shaq is trying to make a comeback during the road trip.

Clearly, the chances of him playing Friday are strong.

I would be surprised. He has not even had a practice yet.

I think the Road Trip just says that hes healthy enough to practice with the team during the road trip.

Doubtufl he will play until the last couple weeks of the season in my opinion.

Do we really need him against the 6'6 chuck hayes???

Yeah, at this point I'd rather just shelve the Big Guy until 1st part of April....have him nice and fresh for the playoffs. It will be a long and arduous journey to June 2011.

In the meantime just give Nenad and TMurph more run. it can only help them.

Shaq is going on the trip to Houston with the team. May not play but is getting into more physical training. Me thinks he will be playing regular season games soon.

That would be nice ... but I pray his minutes during the rest of the regular season are very limited.

Doc will nurse him through with 15-20 mins max....it will still do the team a world of good to have two proper centers playing.

but he needs to get in game shape and needs to play with the starters to get a rhythm. and still have time left before the end of the season to ease back.

that's a lot to ask with only three weeks left in the regular season.

my feeling is still that he needs to be back playing by the middle of next week in order for this whole thing to work.

Not really worried about any first round opponent, NY included. The thinking might be that if he comes back shortly, along with the 2 weeks or so that the first round usually takes, that will be plenty of time to shake off rust.

Shaq will be fine with his game-shapeness. The way he plays it won't factor much.
