Another guy I'd like to see brought in, at least on a 10-day deal, is Derrick Brown. He was waived yesterday.

I like Brown; he's got some game.

But bigs are our main need (unless the O'Neals just got back from Lourdes, as someone said in the mainpage thread LOL).  I like Murphy or Camby because they can hit a shot, thus are suited to playing with Rondo.

Dalembert is a distant third, IMHO.

You've got a reliable reporter saying that the team was offered trades for him. After turning those down, why just days later would they decide that they'd rather just buy him out? I understand that the team isn't looking to increase pay role, but they certainly could've gained a pick and another player they could just as easily buy out.

Every reliable reporter I read or listened to said the Celtics were not making any major roster moves. Maybe just some minor tweaks. You know who was feeding them this information? Danny Ainge.

If it is fine he is still one of the best rebounders in the league at 36. At 28 mpg this year he was averaging 11.3 rpg. That's just insane. Close to 2 bpg too. He doesnt have the beef but him paired with KG could be pretty intimidating length down low.

Before anyone responds to this. The Blazers just traded 2 Centers away. Camby is the only true 5 with a chance at playing this year. Gerald Wallace allows them to go small but there is no way they buyout Camby unless Pryzbilla gets bought out and they would rather have him.

and Camby is due almost another 10 million dollars next year.  Portland isn't going to buy him out even if it made basketball sense.

It's not silly. Employing logic there's no reason to believe that Dalembert would be bought out. It's 100% hope. 0% logic. Again, why would they not take a trade and gain an asset if they were going to buy him out? IE: Jeffries & a pick for Dalembert.

I just think its unreasonable to put his name in the conversation.

Camby is not a buyout candidate. He threatened to retire if he was traded from Portland, as he does not want to uproot his family again. He won't seek a buyout, and the Blazers want to keep him.

Neither is Dalembert. Sacramento is looking to extend his contract, not buy him out.

I think I read here yesterday about how the Bos-Sac trade with Daniels was meant to help get the Kings over the minimum salary cap threshold too?
