I respect Noah's view of KG since KG is a bad person on the court, but it is important to separate his lack of class on the court with his character off the court. KG seems like a great guy off the court.

Has KG ever talked trash about anyone in an interview? He leaves all the nonsense in the game.

There have actually been a lot of stories out there over the years about KG being a jerk to the staff, security, etc out there. The most recent ones came up in a discussion of how nice Sheed was to everyone at those lower levels. I think he is what he is. Not that nice of a guy, but I sure like the KG as a player. If I am looking for a role model then I won't be looking at an athlete as my first pick.

do you have a link to any of these stories about him being a jack off to the staff of the team?

I've never heard of this.

I don't have the time or energy to go back and try to find articles from years back, however the specific one that really popped into my head was the article about how Sheed was such a different person off the court. They gave examples of how nice he was to the staff and employees around the arenas and contrasted that to KG and how he treated people. I am sure there are many on here who remember that a couple years back. I doubt that could be considered too tough to imagine considering the way he treats people, even his own teammates at times.

I'm not even saying it is a bad thing. I think that mean streak makes him what he is out there. Anyway. It may be exaggerated and maybe not, but I remember a few comments across the years that don't put him in a very good light. For the record, I DO think he called Charlie a cancer patient. Look at the guy. I can see why he'd say that. Much more believable than "you are a cancer to your team and this league"... Right. I don't think it was a big deal though.

Hmm so you don't have the time to backup something that should be pretty clear due to the way he's acts on the court and your belief in Doc as a liar. You have a lot of time to respond to comments though.

Interesting..

I'll just stick with what I know and that is he curses a lot on the court.  I'll be interested to read some of these comments if you ever have the time to research them.

Please do not call out other posters.  If you don't like the argument, argue against it, without making it personal.

I guess I just don't understand what Noah is trying to accomplish by saying this.

Is he trying to get inside KG's head?  Good luck with that, KG is probably the mentally toughest guy in the league.  Is he trying to portray KG in a bad light, and at the same time garner sympathy for himself?  Somehow I doubt peoples perception about KG are going to change at this point. And If Noah is trying to get sympathy, well, that is not only sad, but entirely unlikely.  Noah runs his own mouth quite a bit.  No one is going to be sympathetic towards a "beginner" trash talker just beacuase an "OG" trash talker took his lunch.

I think he was just being honest.  Not sure there was any other motivation behind it.

I think a lot of these guys grew up idolizing KG, and to come into the league, and have his only response being to belittle them and basically treat them like scum is hard to take.

I think guys like Noah (I am not lumping him in with CV who is a baby), just built up a false image of a guy (much like most of us do), so when they realize that he is really a mean, nasty guy on the court (and it was not just some exageration or act), it is that much worse to them.

That, and Noah likes to hear himself talk.

Your definitely right about Noah loving to hear himself talk.

It just bewilders me why Noah would come out and say this.  It just makes him look slightly foolish.  Personally, I don't really have any problems with what he said.  Quite honestly, I don't even care. Again, just seems foolish and pointless.

Well, I imagine he was probably responding to a direct question about KG.  I have no problem with him being honest about his feelings towards him when asked.

Frankly, its good radio.

Definitely agree with you on himsaying what he feels, if that's how he really feels.

It seems to me though, Noah would have ben better served to just keep his mouth shut.  IF KG doesn't completely disregard this, he'll probably use it as just another thing to belittle Noah and get under his skin even more.  Something along the lines of: " Oh, did I hurt your feelings baby? I'm not being too mean for you, am I?"

Probably but, I would put noah's IQ on same level as the PG on Chicago so it makes sense in that regard.

So funny last year when Noah was in the middle of a playoff series against the Cav's and he was talking about how KG constantly throws elbows. The dude has a serious man crush on KG, he probably still has his poster up in his room. Just because KG doesn't want to be buddy buddy with Noah doesn't mean Noah needs to lash out at every oppurtunity.

Best part about those comments he made during the Cav's series is that he probably got elbowed by Shaq 5 times during that series. Shaq wasn't even trying to make a move just completely turning and elbowing Noah while he was in the post in his face.

No, I don't. You can believe it or not, but I'm telling you what I remember. His overall actions sure don't refute my point though.

As far as Doc goes, the guy was backing his player and wanting the story to die. Do I think Doc was making that up, yes. You really are trying to tell me that KG said "You are a cancer to your team and to this league"?! Say that out loud. Who would say that?! Carlton?!

I hope that is true rather than the others, but I kind of doubt it. He doesn't seem to have the personality to be "bothered" by those beneath him. What can you expect though from someone who has been treated since they were a small kid like they were the greatest thing in the world since they were tall. I really don't understand how they could be any different really.

Without elaborating, I know someone who's dealt with him on a few occasions in a non-basketball setting. No links, though.

Without stepping into the rest of your dispute, I thought it pretty obvious that the "cancerous to our..." wordage was paraphrase.  I think more along the lines of "you a (bleepin) cancer, (bleep).  Everywhere you go you get your (bleepin) numbers and yo team sucks.  You (bleep) up your team, (bleep), you (bleep) up the whole league."

For what it's worth, he's used that same line of attack (i.e. you get your numbers but you don't help your team) on Corey Maggette for years.  Not that much of a stretch that he would go after Villanueva, another scoring-no-defense-overpaid player the same way.  If that's what was said.

That's pretty funny.  I do think it's plausible that he said some form of your cancerous to the league with lots of expletives added.  I mean his actions sort of prove KG right don't you think?  Overpaid players (CV) that play with little heart (CV) and battle via twitter (CV) is in fact cancerous to the league and his team without a doubt.  I probably would have assumed he did say what CV said (due to him looking like a cancer patient and actually playing organized sports and hearing much worse than what KG was supposed to have said) until Doc (for no reason mind you) corroborated KGs story.  I don't get the sense that Doc would lie.  There doesn't appear to be reason why he would.  The league wouldn't have done anything and anyone that hates KG hated him before this.

Anyway I always got the sense that KG was butte on the court (not too me cause he's a C) and gentle giant off the court.  But you appear to have heard differently which peaked my interest.

That's the rumors I've always heard as well.  I mean I have no facts whatsoever just anecdotal evidence of a few people dealing with KG and him being really cool off the court.

Now if they had come out and said that, I might have believed it. That sounds a bit more believable. That being said, Charlie looks a little too much like a cancer patient to not have me believe that KG who like to take things over the top as far as trash talking goes, didn't really say that. Point is though that I really don't think it is a big deal overall. I am much more offended by him saying the F word every sentence when I am trying to get my 11 year old son hooked on the Celtics. Not cool KG. You don't need that.

I've heard mixed things about KG off the court.  He's supposedly a bully to ballboys, and he's apparently been pretty rude to several fans who have asked for autographs.  At the same time, I'm sure there are plenty of stories of him being a good guy off the court, as well.

I think that anyone who deals with KG right before or right after a game is going to have a different experience than someone who sees him in most other settings. Honestly, have you ever seen a player get more "in the zone"?
