Joakim Noah dislikes Kevin Garnett

The whole "KG only goes after younger, smaller, European etc" guys is a little misleading. For one thing those guys probably make up 75% of the league.

Also as a Celtic hasn't KG got into it with Amare on a couple occasions? Is he small? Is he European? Is he a young guy? No I dont think so.

What about Dwight Howard in the playoffs last year? One of the most ridiculous things, KG violently jabbing his elbow into Dwight Howard pretty much egging on a guy as much as you can. Was KG picking on a small guy there? Is Dwight a European guy? Maybe he is just a small guy that KG likes to bully.

Oh, and  KG has got into it with Bogut as well who is wait for it.........not European!! He's actually from Australia which is located in a different part of the world. So theres another big not so young non European guy that KG has got into with.

Pretty much there is no one that KG won't go after, taunt, bully, or whatever you want to call it.

I think Noah is a good player and I respect his opinion. He loses me with calling KG ugly, ok opinion, fine, but then he wants KG to be "sweet", huh? Suspect. Like dude before him, what's his name, Charlie Villan, both combined can't compare their accomplishments, so whatever.

I will however notice when KG can get Kevin Durant to express himself. Durant does the right thing. He says he has respect for KG. And leaves it at that.

Look - Noah is a really good player, one of CHI's Three, I think. One of the best centers in the league already. I like the man and his play.

But - he calls KG "Mean"? Well, by today's standards, maybe KG is mean.

Compared to the 80's? 90s? KG is a puppy compared to the likes of Bill Laimbeer, Charles Oakley, Dennis Rodman, Barkley. I think of those 4 off the top of my head - there may be more. Now THOSE 4 (Especially Laimbeer) were mean.

Charles Oakley had a rather silent "Mean" to him..I remember him actually slapping a player because he supposedly owed Charles some money?? No one bullied the Knicks when Charles was there back in the day. Watching Oakley play, he didn't appear to be very vocal. But no one messed with the man.

Laimbeer? Now HE was mean, and NASTY. He took down several players back in his time, Larry included. I hated the guy. Now his Piston teammates loved him.

Bill made McHale's closeline of Kurt Rambis back in the day look like a day at the park compared to modern NBA, if you ask me. He just had a perpetual mean streak to him, a 24 hour scowl. Big, Physical, Disruptive. KG is 1/10 the mean of Laimbeer.

I think KG does more talking than anything else. Just shut him out, Noah. Outplay him, if you can. And Noah - don't hate on KG because he knocked the ball away from you here at the end, big guy:

KG comes to Boston and brings a mindset with him, back in Summer of 07. Prior to him and Ray Ray getting here, Boston was a doormat to the League. Now all of a sudden, Boston has been a perpetual contender every year, and now folks dislike KG. Go figure.

I just think folks hate to see the Green on top again, almost 80's style. Get used to it, Noah. This team is together for another year, after this one. Don't like KG? Wear earplugs.

All the hate turns quickly to love when they find themselves on the same team.  IMO, in sports "hate" is closer in meaning to "respect"...secondary players are seldom hated.

TP, GF ... Noah's perception of "mean and ugly" is a bit parochial, compared to what we grew up observing in the NBA. It's a bit more than obvious that he's not only rather naive, but immature as well. (Seems like he avoids mirrors for the most part also).

Noah is asking for trouble, I guarantee you that KG will take it to him in their next encounter.

It's funny how his description of Garnett ("mean, ugly, not sweet") fits his own attitude on the court.

I think the fact that KG is looking awfully close to "07-08 KG" is another reason why the NBA is taking notice again.

It was all good to see KG limping through the season, averaging 5 rebs, and all.

Now? he's back, healthy...getting his swag back. KG is like Black Coffee in the morning - just Bitter, with a jolt to it...no sweetness or cream in it.

But it wakes you up!

I would hope not.  On the list of all time NBA greats Noah checks in right above Charlie V.  Basically he's a nobody as well.  As much as he talks about KG I have to wonder if he has bit of crush on him.

This is like his third or fourth time mentioning KG.

I think this all started back in 08-09 playoffs, with KG on the sideline, yelling at the Bulls players constantly. I think this has affected Noah.
