4 Bucks
5 Orl
6 NY
7 Pacers
8 Celtics
9 DC
10 Charlotte
11 Boston

Question: How does Cleveland finish last? Carmlo+Ellis as the headlines, then Jason THompson and Troy Murphy in the post seems pretty decent to me.

Oh

That Anthony.

My mistake.

I feel like the zone negates this in that the wing defenders will just have to do what they are comfortable doing, guard the ball on the wings.

Are you saying you're going to play a zone defense?

What, did you hire Boeheim or something as your coach?
How many points will be given up on illegal D's?
No more than the average team. Our base defense will be a 3-2 or a 1-2-2. Since you don't have someone under the hoop an illegal defense call is unlikely. The best zone defenses have man principles and vice versa, the 3-2 defense is closest to the man defense that is normally played in the NBA and shouldn't be much of a problem to implement.

This is not to say we will run all zone defense but more so than the average team.

I think this:
Quote
The scoring that Beaubois will give us more than makes up for playing Deron out of position.

Is a lot better defense of Beaubois than what scheme you'll be playing on the other side of the ball.
Some people might like that defense some people might like the scheme. I'm a crowd pleaser so I want to have something for everyone.

Ok so i've resigned to the fact that not everyone believes that a trio of Nash/Jax/Odom can make the playoffs (actually i really haven't).  But i just don't get how Atlanta is a 3 seed and Miami is the 13th seed.  I couldn't see losing that matchup head-to-head, nevermind finishing 10 spots below ATL in the conference standings.

That'd be a really interesting head-head matchup, I think you're awfully close. But you have a legitimate point about the discrepency between your two teams.

Seems like everyone has different opinions on ranking the Pacific.  I don't really see how Phoenix and Sacto are any better than the two LAs (who I think are the two best teams) but whatever.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

This is the closest draft we've had yet. So many teams of similar value (besides Minnesota which is clearly the best ;-)). I take this as evidence that quality of team gms have increased (that and for a few rounds the commish made picks).
