If any lurkers wanna be co-gm for a round, I've come to a philosophical stand-still on this next pick and could use some advice.

Looks like I am next up on the coaches draft.

I'm going to wait until there's been a ruling as to who is eligible. Current NBA head coaches only? Are current NBA assistant coaches eligible? Are current NCAA coaches eligible? Are former, now unemployed NBA head coaches eligible?

Also, I am looking to move up from 6/25 into the late 5th, or maybe even early 6th. Lots of picks at my disposal to offer.

Lastly, as we're on break, it would be great if people could update their sigs with their current rosters and picks, and perhaps clean their mailboxes up. I have had one PM rejected because the recipient's mailbox was full.

Are we foregoing break?

Nope.  Let's hold off on draft picks for now.

Teams can make coaching selections, though, in the order posted on the first page.

With the third pick in the Coaches Round, the Miami Heat select Phil Jackson.

C'mon Uncle Roy, we can be good!

You can select any coach at any level of basketball who is still living, retired or not.  If you want to take a chance on somebody who has never coached before, go for it.  The only caveat is that the person would be at their current age and level of ability.  In other words, you can't say "Coach X in his prime", especially if his prime was in 1962.

To equalize things a bit, everybody should assume that, outside of their head coach, the coaching staffs for each team are generally even.  Coaching staffs / training staffs do NOT follow their coach.  In other words, if somebody selects Doc Rivers, he gets Doc and a competent coaching staff, but not specifically Clifford Ray.

Thanks, Roy. I'll make a selection soon.

Memphis hires Nate McMillan as their coach. We're a young team and Nate has proven quite adept at this type of coaching job.

And yet, tragically, we are pitted against each other in the Southwest Division. O, cruel fate.
