But we just got outscored in a half where we clearly outplayed the Lakers.

Can we outplay a team when we're barely shooting 40%??

You can if you're getting good shots and just not dropping them, and they're making really difficult ones.  Works out the same either way though, gotta outscore em no matter how it gets done.

  • Let's Go Celtics!
Attack the rim, draw some fouls, or kick out to open Ray.

Ray couldn't hit the Atlantic Ocean with a brick right now.

We just need to go the paint as much as possible.

Ugh, I do not know why I even bother listening to the half time show. Terrible.

Those guys make me sick to my stomach.

We´re down 3, the Lakers are impressive but we´re pathetic?

Pff, I hate these analysts

Jon Barry called the Boston offense pathetic. That's EXACTLY what it was in that first half.

This.

We can't just wait for Ray to get going...unless we have a comfortable lead...then we can risk some possession to get him going from down town.

Right now...no one is consistent from the 3 pt line...and therefore we just need to keep driving to the rim and attacking.

Doc needs to have a quick leash. He needs to give most of the minutes to the guys who are bringing it. So Ray, sorry bud, but have a seat. Same for you Rondo. Go with Nate, Tony, Pierce, KG and Sheed/BBD.

Well, we'll pick it up here in the 2nd half. We'll be fine.

Still, why focus on our negatives and the Lakers´positives, if we´re only down 3?

I mean, we must have done at least something right.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Pretty odd first half.  In the 2nd the Celtics will need to keep attacking the hoop and making smart passes.  Defensive rebounds will be key too.

I'd like to see smart-Tony show up somewhere in the 2nd half too.

As soon as the Celtics hit some jumpers it will definitely open up the floor for everyone else on the team.

I can't recall one foul on the Lakers where I thought "wow, that was a bad call."  And I'd honestly admit it too.  Whereas the Celtics have had that Pierce offensive and 2 BS calls on 'Sheed.  Those 2 on sheed are huge too, b/c he's playing better than Perkins by a mile.

TP Good one! Agree on going to the paint & KG. If we get that going, then throw one out to an open Ray & get him going.

I'm just saying. He was right. And he has been generally impressed by Boston when others haven't been. There's no bias there.

Wilbon has it right too - LA looks like the better team.

If Boston wants a bunch of praise, they should turn it around in the second half.

It's understandable...no one can buy a basket save for Pierce and Nate Robinson/Baby.
