celtics were not mentally ready tonight

I hope it was just mental.

What the heck has happened to Kevin Garnett?
father time happened man, things have been downhill since game 6 vs cle---- he's out of gas, only so many upper level performances in that body till it's gone, see how fresh and nimble gasol looks

KG was pathetic tonight. He needs to take a LOOOOOOOOOOONG look in the mirror after this game.

Absolutely brutal in an NBA finals game. Awful.

See, these are posts that annoy me. You know it's not a mental thing with KG. He always gives his every last bit of energy. It's obvious that his knee is debilitating.

That just can't happen in game 2.

KG playing dumb basketball in these last minutes.

Tough loss but I liked the comeback at the end. Just gotta refocus, watch tape, play smarter D and steal game 2. We will be OK.

Good night everybody!

Now we'll have to listen to the "Phil Jackson is 1000000-0 when winning the first game" talk for the next 3 days, can't wait.

Nothing whatsoever to like tonight, fellas.

Nothing in transition. Ball movement was awful. Rebounding was awful. Shot selection in the second half wasn't great. Defense was awful.

This is one of those "burn the tape" games. Nothing to analyze. Just simply "play better or we're not going to win."
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Seemed fine up until tonight...

I actually disagree there. The wide open shot he missed was a lack of concentration, IMO.

Then that TO a few mins ago - Rondo was right next to him. Instead he tried to go for the homerun pass to Paul up the court. That's just not intelligent basketball.

No, you could see it in the ORL series.

Gotta remind yourself that it's one game and that Cleveland ran us off the court worse than this on our own court. 1 Game.

And I gotta disagree RJ. Even last year that's a massive throwdown by KG.

Wahoo!  We won a quarter!

I feel like an Orlando fan right now.  That was a beat down.  Still, it was better than Game 3 against Cleveland, and we won three in a row after that one.

Well, Tough Loss.

But We'll Adjust. Series Ain't Over. Not by a stretch.

And KG's Fine. Physically, from what I saw, nothing's wrong.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Did we get a 3 all night besides that one from Sheed? That was as big as anything--Artest hit threes, we didn't.

Good effort from the Captain there, even though/especially since it won't make a difference.

Third quarter was murder. Rest of the game was close. Celts played like junk, got no breaks, didn't deserve any. But so what? All LA did was do what they were supposed to do and win on their home court. Celts still have a chance to steal a game.
