FYI can we stop praising the Kobe block on the play where Tony Allen lost the ball on his own going up? Kobe is probably the best player in the NBA, we don't need to make up plays where he does well.

Edit: Jeez....KG you have to finish that. That's about 6 points he's left at the rim tonight.

I also think the replay shows Kobe getting a ton of wrist.

Ouch, painful to watch KG on that sequence.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
I see we're back to the regular season CelticsBlog game threads, too! :)

Seven game series, folks, and this team hasn't quit.

Nice little run here.
well when the c's no show for 3 quarters what am i supposed to think?

Think whatever you want, man. It's a free country. Still a seven game series.

True, although if the Celtics don't play better defense, this will be a four game series.

I say that without even an ounce of negativity.  This team is still good enough to win this series, just like we did against Cleveland.  However, it's going to take a better defensive effort.

Clearly, because they're playing badly. But we have no more reason to believe that than we have reason to believe they'll win the next 4 in a row. Cleveland blew us out once. So did Orlando. But we've had enough great games to think the Celts will raise their level and make this a series.

Lakers needed 6 to get by OKC and Phoenix. They're a very good team, but they've had their share of stinkers, too.

What the heck has happened to Kevin Garnett?

He front-rimmed a lot of jumpers in the Orlando series. Maybe he's not healthy? Maybe he's just out of gas? Or maybe Gasol's just that much better.

The style of game the officiating has dictated doesn't lend itself to KG playing well but he has to adjust to that. If he can.

Relax, regroup, reload.

When the Celtics decide to show up (like, say, in game 2), LA will be in trouble.

Get off the floor KG.  You should be ashamed of yourself.

The good thing is that KG is a self-motivator.  If he's physically able to, he'll play better and more focused next game.

I guess the good thing about this fourth quarter is that Paul looks a lot better.  Unfortunately, our defense still sucks.

KG's knee seems to tighten up with too much rest in between games. He had a stretch in the 3rd where he took over offensively for a bit and it seems to have drained him.

KG was pathetic tonight. He needs to take a LOOOOOOOOOOONG look in the mirror after this game.

Absolutely brutal in an NBA finals game. Awful.
