Tom's a great guy and a very competent defensive coach, but I think he's out of his element as a head coach. When Doc was ejected this year and Tom had to take over, it was clear that Thibs was overwhelmed and lost in that role. It's like some bench players, (Eddie House comes immediately to mind), they thrive in and enjoy having a back-up position, but are out of their "comfort zone" in a lead role. I'd rather have a head coach who's already tested and proven in that capacity, and leave Tom where he's the most effective and most at ease ... as defensive coach.
