Very strange game. It has completely turned around from the first half to the second half.

Ghana has run out of steam. They are there for the taking. The US really should have won this in normal time.

I agree, but it looked like Ghana started to pick it up there at the end.  Not sure if the US just didnt want to make a mistake.  Lets hope they come out aggressive in extra time.

The US looked way better in the second half, more attacking and fighting for loose balls and broken plays. Ghana looks gassed, I think the US team will win this game.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Wow, 2-1 Ghana, the US is going to be kicking themselves every night for months to come if they throw this game away.

I don't watch much soccer, but have been watching most of today's game.  Pretty exciting, in general.  Can't stand all the flopping, though.

Both teams deserved to win. Ghana played great in the first half (their best half of the tournament), US dominated in the second and could have scored more than once. Quick goal in the beginning of the ST decided. US defenders dropped the ball.

I said we'd win because of their troubles scoring. I guess they shut me up. Hurts so much worse to lose in injury time.

I felt nostalgic for the sudden death rule they had back in the 90s. It just made extra time so much more exciting.

Look at how Capello living the game. That's how I watch my favorite teams, but I don't use the word 'press' as much :)

Very much.  This really sucks first our basketball team and now our nations soccer team.

We had it set up to reach the semi-finals.  All we had to do was beat Ghanna and Uraguay.  Not going to get a better path to the semi's than that prolly ever again.

Both teams deserved to win.

That's not true only Ghanna deserved to win.  USA came out flat to start the game and the extra time.  They had plenty of chances to capitalize on in the second half and they didn't like the whole tournament.  USA did not deserve to win Ghanna did and that's why Ghanna won.

They did choke ... especially the FB's, and they came out cold in the first half, (like the C's often do) ... but it's still a shame, because they are the better team, and they are good enough to go deeper. Really bummed for the older guys ... hopefully Donovan will be back, though ... he'll be 32, I think, and should be good for 2014. I'm so sick of hearing that we haven't "earned" a place on the world stage, (and the flopping is getting sickening, though everyone does it).

How was that horrible horrible call in Eng vs Ger?

Can't believe that. So obviously in from any angle.

Yeah, just an awful call, you could clearly see it was in.

This game should be tied.
