Germany has been clearly the better side so far but the first goal was offside and England was denied the equaliser. I`d say tge score doesn`t do justice

I agree ... terrible officiating to this point. This entire playoffs has been a disappointment in that regard. (TP)

You can't be offside from a goal kick.

The 2nd England 'goal' did cross the line, but that's football.

We'd have to give back the cup from 1966 if we want to start disputing
goal line controversy.

If England score to make it 2 - 2, we'll win it.

Don't be surprised if Capello takes Milner off at half time.

You can't be offside from a goal kick.
To reinforce this:

Quote
It is not necessary that the goalkeeper be one of the last two opponents. It should be noted that any attacker that is even with or behind the ball is not in an offside position and may never be sanctioned for an offside offense. Regardless of position, there is no offside offense if a player receives the ball directly from a goal kick, corner kick, or throw-in.
So the first German goal was proper. By the time the ball bounces both German players were onsides.

How was that horrible horrible call in Eng vs Ger?

Can't believe that. So obviously in from any angle.
Yeah, just an awful call, you could clearly see it was in.

This game should be tied.

Will be a huge shame if Germany win this by 1.

Its a shame no matter what, having a one goal lead compared to even changes how everything will play out in the second half.

Good point.
Glad that I'm impartial to the outcome or this could be Game 7 redux (only a whole bunch less devastating)

4 - 1 down and we bring on Heskey.

I assume this is some kind of joke.

Well, this one has proven to be a bit anti-climatic.   :P

I guess England is out right ?

Can anyone tell what`s the diffence between Don Fabio`s team and McLaren`s (for example) ??
Cause i don`t see any. When you pay 8m i gues we expect some kind of improvement.Even a very small one.

So the first German goal was proper. By the time the ball bounces both German players were onsides.

That´s a new situation on the pitch an is therefore passive offisde, I think.
EDIT: Bogus, pbak63 is right.

While the second english goal was clearly in, it doesn´t completely change the complexity of the game, that´s a moot point, imo. It´s just as possible that a second goal could´ve lit a fire under the german team.

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

Ah, got my times mixed up and missed nearly the entire match!

Darn it! This was my favourite matchup in this round. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch a replay later because it sounds like this was a very good display from Germany. I'd love to see them trash England.

It's nothing to do with the bounce of the ball.

You just cannot be offside from a goal kick.

As for the difference between Capello's team and McLaren's team - on the performances in this tournament - very little, but generally we have looked much better in the past 2 years since McLaren left.

I have to say that I'm not surprised that England lost. We just aren't as good
as the media believe us to be.

England need to have a total rethink about what we are trying to achieve.

I'll ask you all one simple question, would you rather your club side won their
Championship, or your nation won the World Cup?

I'd rather Watford won the league - as unlikely as that may seem, than England won
the World Cup.
