Germany v England is going to be the most intense game of the World Cup. So much passion and history on the line. Penalties?

England really struggle with penalty shoot-outs at major tournaments over the years, while Germany have a pretty good record. Plus, I wouldn't put my trust on David James.

Anyway, I think Germany is playing better and I would rather see them advancing to meet Argentina in the quarter finals.

Not sure if that shot crossed the line or not but a heckuva save by the Slovakian defender.

Its pretty ridiculous that FIFA won't use replay.  That would've been the perfect situation to use it.

Italians are packing their things. Two goals down. The world champs will finish last!!
It seems NZ will qualify. The story of the WC (if it happens that is)

Sorry wrong ... NZ needs a win

Embarrassing result for Italy. I didn't think they'd win this game but I'm surprised they couldn't at least manage a draw against a side of Slovakia's quality.

That Italian acted like he got shot in the head.

I hate the embellishment in this sport.  The acting that goes on is pathetic.
