Duncan dropping as far as he did is ridiculous.

My choice came down to Magic v. Duncan.

Ended up going with the PG in the end.

Stoyko is going to be stoked to have gotten Duncan. He had him 4th on his list of 11 guys. I actually asked him to give me another name in case all 11 were chosen.

Ya, Duncan's a huge steal. I was debating between him and KG, but I figured in an all-star fantasy draft it'd be easier to build around Garnett.

Thing is, according to my talent bracket, there's still probably 15 players left that have 1st round quality talent left because of just amazing year's that they had.

This would've ben my first official move as general manager, but since I was late I had to make that whole "selecting a player" thing my first act.

But as my SECOND act as general manager of the Hornets, I would like to announce that I, somehow gaining the abilities of an owner, have decided to move the team BACK TO CHARLOTTE!

Free Starter Jackets for everyone!

The rules stipulate that you can change the name of your team but not your city. We already have a team in Charlotte as well. Sorry.

Surely these rules can be changed. Can you be bought, sir?

So be it, but NONE of you are getting Starter jackets now.

Sorry for the delay guys, I had totally forgotten that the draft was starting today... thanks for the PM's, otherwise I would have been even more late.

I will make sure I will be there on time for the next round!

No problem Drucci and an excellent pick given your tardiness.

I'm actually surprised to get Kobe. I had to send my picks to Nick and gave him a top 7. I thought I'd end up with either KG, Duncan or Hakeem. Need to rethink now.

Sorry dude, he was higher on your list so choose him for you.

He's probably a better player but just a lot harder to like as a person and player. If it's any solace his 35 PPG year was one of the greatest years any player has had in the last 20 years

Oh a great player and nice to have on the wing in a game with MJ, Lebron etc. Just hard to like.

Every 1st round pick is a cornerstone.

This draft is gonna get real interesting come later this week.  Complementary pieces are gonna be key, IMO.
