I'm happy so far with this:
PF: Karl Malone ('96-'97): 27.4/9.9/4.5/.550%, League MVP, All-NBA 1st Team All-Defense 1st Team
C: Alonzo Mourning ('98-'99): 20.1/11.0/1.6/3.9 BPG, 2nd in league MVP, All-NBA 1st Team, ALl-Defense 1st
To get a 1st and a 2nd MVP, 1st team all nba and 1st team all-defense at the 4/5 spot is a good way to anchor a team, I say.
I'd love to see how your front court matches up with Mchale and Olajuwon.
Mourning was a True Old-School Center back in the day..out of Georgetown in the same mold of Patrick and Dikembe. I always liked him, an would've picked him 1st, but I wanted as much length as I could.
And your Malone pick? Karl Malone was always under-rated as a Defender. Man was so strong that he practically pushed opponents out of the paint. His offense was Always there, too.
Kudos to Nickagneta for this! Roy Hobbs' Pick Two Draft and Nick's games have been welcome breaks here.
When this game was first announced back in April, I thought that it would end up being a welcome break in the event Our Celtics lost to CLE, but Lo and Behold Our Boys are right here in the thick of things!!
(Oddly enough - the two FrontLiners I thought about going with are still around).....
