8 points tonight for billy walker against the hawks... again i ask how could we trade such a player?
If people are going to mock the logic that one or two huge games means he's a future all-star, then what gives you the right to counter with the premise that the guy stinks because he's having average or below average games? Ever heard of a role player? Did you even watch the game?
Personally I'm not commenting on how he played because I didn't see the game, but if you have any other insights to share besides what I can already see from the box score then by all means share them. Otherwise what's the point of making posts like that?
Thank god for a post that makes sense! TP for you.
All I've been trying to say all along is that he'll be a good player based on what I've seen. He's athletic, has good size, he can shoot it and get to the basket, and dunks anything even remotely near the rim.
If his defense isn't up to par it's because 1)he's a 2nd year player 2)he now plays for the knicks, so that doesn't help.
So really, all the tools are there. And that's what I'm basing my prediction off of. But I'll admit having a couple of 20 point games the first time he gets serious minutes doesn't really hurt, either.
Sure, you can make the argument that he's also had a couple of not so great games, but that's part of learning to play the game. The important thing is that the 20 point games have shown HE HAS IT IN HIM.
For what it's worth, anybody know what Gabe Pruitt's career high was? Aside from lacking the physical tools of Bill Walker, I'll bet he never scored over 20 points, ever.
