YES!! 1 game winning streak woohoo.
Now let's make it 2 in row against the pesky Bobcats.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

Need to find a way for Nate to get more burn, especially at the end of games but him and Rondo in together is an automatic mismatch on defense.

I'll take the win but 2 things I still don't get:

1. When will Big Baby realize he can't create his own offense out of the post? Doc needs to rip into him for him always forcing his offense.

2. Rasheed is not a good 3 point shooter. Sure, he takes plenty and will hit a few. But he is not a good 3 point shooter. Hearing that quote from Doc earlier "He's a good shooter, we're not getting him good enough shots." That is dumb and Doc knows it.

Nice to end our thread on a high note folks!

Indeed.  It's about time.  Hopefully when Perk's back and PP is at full speed, we can start looking a little more like we used to.

Nate's play was very encouraging.

Game ball goes to Nate on this one. Doc really needs to start playing him in the third more. He is going to be really big part if we have any success.

Well, part of the issue will be solved when

a) Perk is back

b) Doc figures out how to go to a 3 man 4/5 rotation.  Doc could really cut his minutes down if he figured out how to rotate Rasheed more effectively.

Why does Rondo get the ball 2X on inbounds plays late in game?
Because he needs to practice them!
At least he made 'em.....
So glad to see those go in - Rondo is 7/8 from the line today, though that's as uncharacteristic as his 6 turnovers.

I look at this Pistons team and can't help but think that earlier in the year when they were losing steadily and the injury bug hit, they were telling themselves that, if healthy, they have a shot when the playoffs come.

A shot a what?  Not getting swept in the first round?  Detroit was never really good enough to win it all even in their heyday: they got lucky in '04 in a very weak Eastern Conference against an LA team that had a meltdown.  In most other years, that team gets knocked out in the Conference Finals, if not the semis.

Even though Baby didn't shoot well, he plays better with Shelden who similar to Powe in rebounding department. Its one game but i'd like to see that combination again. Perk take your time. Maybe it'll force Doc to play sheed less.

Game thoughts:

1. Nate was the microwave scorer we needed in this game, it would have been nice if they kept feeding him the ball even when the starters came back in the 4th but they went away from him.

2. Some people will look at the line and be upset by how many shots Baby took. In my opinion without Sheed him and Nate seemed the only ones willing to shoot on the second unit. I thought he played well. It seems as of late he's been drawing at least one charge a game.

3. Someone needs to sit both KG and Sheed down. When they are both in the game if one shoots a long jumper the other needs to crash. I don't care how good the play looks a shot in which no one is in the position to even attempt an offensive rebound is a bad one in my book.

4. Shelden played well, I still think that Davis is better but it wouldn't hurt to play him with Sheed. Sheed likes to hang by the 3 point line and Williams stays in the paint so at least we'd have one big rebounding.
DKC:  Rockets

Nice win. Ugly win but this is where it starts.

Small steps in the right direction.

Get some momentum. Get your confidence back. And slowly work your way back to where you belong.

Yeah, I know.  I just had this outrageous idea that a team like Detroit, coming together w/health at the right time, had a reason to think they could still be playing in late May.  A team like that might have a pretty freakin' good reason to think they just might have a shot at going the rest of the way, too.

And if you noticed, it's not like we're much better than they are.  If we're the measuring stick(we're supposed to be the contenders, while they're the rebuilding team), if healthy, they probably have as much of a shot as we do, maybe better-Jerebko is a very nice player.

TP.  Someone needs to be the energy/garbage man next to KG and/or Sheed.  BBD isn't quite working that well in that dept., though he is a better player.  Role players are as much about fit as skill.
