  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Rondo should be sitting like Lebron.  :(

He's got to make it to the fourth DOc!

^ me at the start of the 2nd.

You'd think games are won in the first half with the way Doc chose to run Rondo.

The Cavs played very poorly in the first half and were fairly mediocre for most of the third quarter.

They were there for the taking today. The Celtics just weren't up to the task.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
Charles Barkley guaranteed the Cavs would come back and win this game.  Very astute observation as it was quite obvious that the Celtics had played their best basketball but couldn't put Cleveland away.

Painfully obvious that this would end up being another blown lead and the C's would get obliterated in the 2nd half again.

The Portland game unfortunately was an aberration.  There was hope that it could be the start of a major turnaround but obviously not.  The C's still can't keep big leads and finish games strong.

Nothing has changed...

You may have noticed, Paul Pierce didn't play tonight.  Last I checked, he's a fairly big part of the team.

But I don't think the outcome of this game will be different even if Pierce played. Based on his performance these days.

Well, Pierce's performance these days is because he's injured.  A healthy Paul Pierce absolutely makes a difference in this game.  It would have resulted in different rotations, and presumably a more rested Rondo.  Also, he could have helped with the offensive stagnation in the second half.

I mean, it turned into a 20 point loss, but this game was basically even at the start of the fourth.  I don't accept that Pierce couldn't have helped.

Love that the refs had to review that "foul" that Rasheed "committed" on Lebron at the end of the 3rd quarter. In the replay that they showed several times on TNT it was very clear that Rasheed got all ball before he and Lebron collided. So the ref had to watch the replay multiple times of a call that he could clearly see he made incorrectly. Not sure how he decided that the foul happened before time expired since no foul occurred. :)

Garnett had one of his bad games. He wasn't moving well tonight and wasn't assertive at all offensively despite having a money matchup against Antawn Jamison and/or JJ Hickson.

Very disappointing and frustrating.

Not so fond of doc's coaching tonight to say the least...

little Fratello is correct - Rondo, for some unknown reason, tries to feed the post from near the top of the circle.

anyone who knows the game understands bad fundamentals - it is a horrible passing angle - but Rondo does it routinely and he throws it in there almost arrogantly as if "i'm Rondo, i can get away with bad fundamentals."

well Rondo, no you can't. your turnovers are killing this team.

He has 1 turnover in 3 quarters... try again, dude.

are you counting all the deflections, stalled offensive possessions, missed opportunities and wasted dribbles ??

you obviously never played the game, DUDE.

Its ironic that it says "Rajon Rondo" under your name.

I'm sorry but the guy had 11 assists tonight, just 2 turnovers - the first of which didn't even occur until the 3rd qtr (and wasn't really his fault, it was a terrible pass that he managed to save but bobbled). If anything, his aggressiveness allowed us to take that lead early on. The only complaint that I have on Rondo tonite was that he played too many minutes - and that's really on Doc.

So yea, off all the things to take from this loss Rondo's "terrible carelessness" with the ball is NOT one of them.

Poor end to the first half with the Celtics blowing a 3 on 1 break and not scoring with 3 chances on that possession then giving up a 3 pointer to Lebron.  A probable 13 point halftime lead is trimmed to 8.

C's need to work on their end of quarter plays as twice tonight they have failed miserably with not even getting a decent shot off.  Rondo dribbling around until the clock runs out happened twice at the end of quarters which is not good.

C's are up only 8 even with shooting 60%.  Cleveland will be ready for the second half.

Hopefully the C's stay aggressive and win this game.  Can't afford to blow another double digit lead at home...

just curious if ur ever happy?

Just curious are you happy with turning an 8 point lead into a 20 point blowout?  It's OK to criticize the team even when they are playing well.  Most nights it's obvious that the collapse is coming just like tonight.  Simple observations by watching the game.

Speaking of rotations, I dont think Celveland is the kind of team to play Rajon and Nate in tandem. Too big. more like Q and Tony.  Ps totally agree re the Wallace/Davis pairing. Why, Doc/

Well said. Anyone notice how both teams didn't shake hands after the buzzer? Is this the norm now or do they just really hate each other? I did see Delonte waving towards the C's bench.
