Just heard there are rumors that this deal could be latched on to the Sacramento deal, with someone from Sacramento also coming to Boston.  I would imagine it is a smaller player, but could be someone like Nocioni.

Thanks for the clarification, guys.

I still wonder why this is taking so much time to get done. I guess it's probably the "standard procedure" and we shouldn't expect any surprise but we can only guess and hope until the deadline...

If its Nocioni we better be getting something more than Nate Robinson!

Forget that if we get Nate And Nocioni our bench would be set!

Nate
Daniels
Nocioni
BBD
Sheed

That is a decent rotation.

Someone else besides House and Giddens has to be going out, either way. The salaries don't work in a deal with the Knicks; and if Sacramento gets involved by sending someone back our way, we'd have to send out at least one other player.

I'm hoping we send out Shelden, and get Udoka back. Here's a trade scenario that works:

Yeah, if that were the deal, I would imagine one of the picks would also have to come Boston's way...at least I would hope.

How about this, with Boston getting NY's 2012 first rounder:

5 for 2? I mean I like the general idea a little, and I'd love New York's pick but I don't think this is possible. We'd need to sign some players to fill our roster, and it'd probably be D-League dudes.

Hollinger seems to think that the Robinson deal gets wrapped into the McGrady trade involving Sacramento and Houston.

Interesting, indeed :

We'll know in 3 hrs, but I suspect answer will be a yes based on what I'm hearing. Would make it a three-way with Sac and Hou, or a four-way including Nate with Boston.

Also, the Kings are trying to get David Lee from NY according to Sam Amick, the Kings beatwriter ;

Being told Kings trying to get David Lee in McGrady talks with New York.

There could be a really interesting 4 teams trade scenario brewing on.

Knicks and Celtics have reached tentative agreement on Nate Robinson deal. Unknown 2nd player to Bos, NY gets E.House, B.Walker, JRGiddens.

So Billy is also fair game.

Ugh... it's not that Billy and JR's value were high but it's a little harsh to lose 3 expiring contracts just to land Nate!

Evans, Casspi, Hawes, Lee...

That's a pretty good core for SAC to build around.
