Breathed a deep sigh of relief. honestly, Jamison scares me more... I wasn't 100% convinced that round 2 of Amar'e and Shaq would work. But Jamison is exactly what they need, a 4 that can really stretch the floor to compliment Shaq playing in the post.+1. I think Jamison is more scary than Amare on that Cleveland team...

I'm hopeful the league will close the "buyout and re-sign" loophole in the next CBA; it makes a mockery of "trades" (and yes, the Celtics were one of the first beneficiaries of this, in the Antoine/Payton deal.)
I wonder if Cavs have just freed Clippers cap space to sign LeBron this summer....
I think Grunfeld made out in this deal. I didn't think he'd have a snowball's chance of getting rid of Jamison's contract, but he was able to do so AND get a 1st round pick out of the deal. AND they got a possible piece for the future in Thornton. So they got a 1st rounder for Jamison and not Butler? That's what is boggling my mind.

If a player gets bought out, he should have a choice to play for whomever he chooses.
Which would you rather have if you're Washington: Hickson or Thornton?
