Whew. So glad they got Jamison and not Amare. Breathed a deep sigh of relief.

honestly, Jamison scares me more... I wasn't 100% convinced that round 2 of Amar'e and Shaq would work. But Jamison is exactly what they need, a 4 that can really stretch the floor to compliment Shaq playing in the post.

+1. I think Jamison is more scary than Amare on that Cleveland team...

Interesting.

What happens with Amare? Miami or bust, I imagine. Kerr's job just got harder.
Steve Kerr's job is nice and simple. He's just screwing it up.

I dunno fellas, Pierce and KG trying to cover a LBJ - Amare Pick and roll? I know it's not that simple, but to me that's the scariest thought of all.

Jamison's a nice player, but they got Telfair, too. RIP EAST.  ;D

And Jamison is a 2 time all star, while Amare is a 27 year old perennial all star that has been an mvp candidate. That is why I am elated.

This is on http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm as well.

Looks like Jamison and former Celtic Telfair to Cleveland. Cleveland only loses Z and a 1st round pick. At least they do not get Amare.

The thing that kills me about this trade is that the Cavs will in all likelihood get back Big Z after he is bought out...
Celtics fan for life.

What are the chances Celtics can land Amare? We already have a franchise PG, all that is missing is a franchise BigMan. I hope Ainge can work something out with the suns.

The Wizards will receive Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Al Thornton, Brian Skinner and a 1st round pick, according to the source.

The Clippers are also involved and will receive Drew Gooden.

Along with Jamison, Cleveland will receive Sebastian Telfair.

Which would you rather have if you're Washington: Hickson or Thornton? Both seem pretty meh to me. I assume Washington cuts that $2.6 million to get under the lux tax?

Clips have been busy. Trading Telfair, Thornton, Camby, and Skinner for Outlaw, Blake, and Gooden. I think that's a pretty fair return.

You left out that they traded Camby too.

I agree with whoever said, Wizards now are the worst franchise, over takign the Clips for not at least getting Hickson back. Cleveland fleeces Washington.

Lakers get Gasol for chump change, Cavs get Jamsion for nothing really?

Jamison is a tough match up for KG, very tough.

I don't think Jamison's  the end all but he's another nice weapon on that team.

Well, we play them three more tiems down the stretch so we'll have a pretty good idea of how they match up.

Ultimately, if we don't end up winning it this year, I'll be alraight as long as the Cavs knock out the Lakers.

Just can't stand seeing the lakers and Kobe's arrogant mug winning it.

I think Grunfeld made out in this deal. I didn't think he'd have a snowball's chance of getting rid of Jamison's contract, but he was able to do so AND get a 1st round pick out of the deal. AND they got a possible piece for the future in Thornton.

So they got a 1st rounder for Jamison and not Butler? That's what is boggling my mind.
