Just read on Yahoo sports where the Suns-Cavs are close to a deal that would send Stoudemire to the Cavs for Big Z, Hickson, and a #1. Wow that should put the Cavs over the top. Also said the Celtics reach out to the Suns but they don't have enough to make the trade..WHAT!?!..We got more to offer than the Cavs in BBD, Perkins, Ray expiring, and others...
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

you forget how much Danny like this team and how they are going to just flip the switch and become the team we thought they were at any minute. boston doesn't have any quality young players like hickson to put in the deal. nobody wants BBD and nobody wants ray allen...the team we have now is the team we will finish with.

Silver lining in this would be that the Cavs probably keep the Lakers from another championship.

Yeah, as long the Lakers don't win, I'll be happy.

Stat to the Cavs means GAME OVER, for everybody.
Danny is doing nothing for now, we actually are the same team who lost 4-0 with Hawks, and 3-1 with magic.

and yet boston will most likely not make any major and needed moves..leaving us with the same product that is losing ground quickly to the raptors even  :-\

sure.
there is no way to do something,if you don't have interesting players to give.
I bet Danny will only take a PG backup for Rondo, then we will make post season with a cooked team, going out at the second round, probably with orlando.
This is reality,unfortunately.
Everything can happen in NBA, but we are not in a good position.

You would hope.  But I think the C's could give them a run for their money.  Shaq and Stoudemire didn't exacly light it up last year as far as wins go.  And they had Nash, Hill and JRich with them, so it's not like it was just the two of them.

It does help the Cavs future though.  Having Mo, Varajao and Stoudemire would keep the Cavs competitive even with Shaq and Z getting long in the tooth, as long as LeBron and Stoudemire stay.

Having Nash on your team doesnt quite equate to having Lebron though. Granted Nash is a very good player  but he is nowhere near the player Lebron is. If this deal goes down and Z returns via a buyout then Cleveland has to be the favorite to win the title. I am not sure that Danny could even counter that move with what we can trade.

I think this deal epitomizes the problems with the NBA's labor situation. This is a complete fleecing, on a talent level, by Cleveland (approaching the level of the Gasol deal). They get a near-max, All-Star caliber player, for the last pick in the 1st round and a guy who gets 15/9 per 40 minutes and is a completely unproven commodity. It was extremely unlikely that the C's could defeat Cleveland before the trade...and now...yikes. Let's hope we get it together after the break and have health going into April/May. Anything else is gravy.

Agreed.  Lebron is in his own class.  I was more pointing out that Stoudemire might not improve them as much as everyone thinks.

Unless the Cavs change their offense I don't see Stoudemire being as effective as he is in Phoenix.  Stoudemire isn't a defensive stopper and won't be able to stop Gasol, Bynum, Garnett, Perk or Wallace down low.  And he's not going to put up 20 a game for the Cavs if Lebron keeps dominating the ball.  Having Z as a backup center is one of their biggest strenghts going against L.A.  If he doesn't re-sign it will be much tougher beating the Lakers, if they ever get healthy.

This does allow them to be a better running team though.  That was their biggest weakness.

This all being said, my money would be on the Cavs to win it all.  Kobe's health will probably be the main factor in who wins the championship.  And right now I doubt he'll be 100% in June, if he even makes it that far.
